I agree.
Lil' Mama should have won Best Female Hip-Hop Artist. Though, is there really a need for this category? I mean, female emcees have been virtually non-existent the last few years.

She's a true flop artist at its finest.
So because an artist flops, they dont deserve any awards? I guess Jill Scott,India Arie, and Common dont deserve any Grammys then!
Bad comparison.
Jill Scott, India.Arie, and Common are three of some of the most acclaimed artists/singer-songwriters in R&B/Hip-Hop. On the other hand, Trina is a nasty, Lil Kim/Foxy Brown clone who just also happens to make terrible, unsubstantial music.

That's not what I'm saying at all.
If you're going to win an award, atleast be of quality. Trina flops because her music is sh*t. Based on the quality of her material combined with her flop nature, she doesn't deserve to win anything.

That's a joke.
Nah, I'm kinda serious. The performances sucked. Alicia should've performed by herself and it would've been great. But Chris Brown and Ciara were awkward. Rihanna was better than expected but still not good. Kanye West's vocoder threw me off. And I enjoyed Gladys Knight tribute more than the Al Green tribute. Didn't Lil' Wayne say Beyonce was supposed to perform with Usher and him.

So what? Missy Elliot,Lil Kim,50 Cent,Nelly,T.I. and the MAJORITY of Hip-Hop Artists rap about "Nasty Things" yet they still get rewarded. Trina is actually more talented than Missy,IMO.Her music may not be substantial but she can rap circles around Missy!

I guess it's all just personal preference. I think Trina is sh*t, yet I respect the artistry and/or emcee skills of those like Missy and T.I. I'm not a Lil' Kim fan; however, to me, she's a pioneer and deserves to be recognized just for her pioneering ways.
50 Cent, Trina, and Nelly are all on par with each other for me.
The show was a bore. The girl group medley with Alicia Keys was nice. Usher was OK. The Al Green tribute was the highlight. I don't care about who wins. Keyshia Cole is a horrible live singer.
