Look at all of the albums being released the week of Black Friday...
Adam Lambert - "TBA" Susan Boyle - "I Dreamed A Dream" 50 Cent - "Before I Self Destruct" Rihanna – “Rated R” Timbaland – “Shock Value Revisted” Lady Gaga – “The Fame: Deluxe Edition” Shakira – “She Wolf” Britney Spears - "The Singles Collection"
Who will see high first week sales? Who will debut at #1? What will sales be like?
Keep in mind that last year both Kanye and Guns N Roses disappointed the week of Black Friday. Kanye debuted at #1 with 425k.

He doesn't have a hit. Plus, all of those others are much more anticipated than he is. 50 Cent will be lucky to go Platinum with this album.
He wasnt as popular in 2007 but he still managed to sell 500K first week. I'm just saying the man knows how to sell a damn record LOL I dont know what he's doing but it works for him.

And you do know that his sales were fueled by a highly publicized battle with Kanye, right? Plus, he had a hit that time. He has neither of those factors. If he knew how to sell records, then how come G-Unit's Terminate on Site flopped so hard? And despite his high first week sales due to the battle with Kanye, Curtis only sold 1.2 million copies overall. 50 Cent ain't doing it like he used to.

Don't know, but I'm not sold on 400-500k. I think GaGa, Adam or Rihanna will come out on top. Mary was supposed to release that day, but her album has been pushed back.
50 Cent's last album sold 691k its first week, but that was because of the Kanye beef. This album won't do much; it's D.O.A. Does he even have a first single?
Anyway, I think everyone here is SEVERLY underestimating Adam Lambert and Susan Boyle.
But I'm not sure who's going to debut at #1. Yeah Rihanna can crank out the hit singles, but her first week sales are always disappointing in the U.S. Even if "Russian Roulette" translates into a hit, Rihanna could still only end up doing 200k-300k her first week out.
I'm not expecting much from Timbaland; he'll do ok #s, but this album came out of nowhere. Britney, Gaga and Shakira will probably pull in decent #s.
Susan Boyle's Amazon #s are crazy high. I wonder if she really could debut at #1. But there's an insane amount of buzz on Adam Lambert right now...even more than Kris Allen (whose album comes out Nov. 17).
Right now, I'm betting on Lambert to debut at #1 with about 400k.
