I first heard of this girl with that song Ur So Gay(And You Don't Even Like Boys). That was a awesome song. But I just figured this is all she was and wouldnt really amount to much. Now, i can't wait for her album One of the Boys, which is released on June 17. Her new single I kissed A Girl is totally freakin amazing. Like whoa. Her voice definately reminds me of someone/thing but i can't put my finger on it at the moment. Anywho, its now one of the most requested songs at one of the top radio stations in my area. If you havent heard it yet check it out and lemme know what you think. Could this girl/song be big???

bisexual maybe. apparently she's dating travis the lead singer from gym class heroes. she was the girl he found that was in the crowd during the cupids chokehold video. if you check out her on myspace, www.myspace.com/katyperry , she covered outfields use your love, which is really hot. she kinda sounds like pink a lil on the track.

She sounds like an annoying rip-off of Hayley Williams from Paramore.

I started hearing this song on the radio a lot since last week. I love this song, she's awesome.

And it doesn't hurt that she's hot!!

I Kissed A Girl is now #2 on iTunes.

It also made a big jump into the Top 10 of the Hot 100.

She's #5 on the Hot 100 chart!!!!!!! Woohooo!!!!!!!

I saw the video today. It's pretty great. It looks kind of like a Gwenish video (I thought it was directed by Sophie Muller, it's not).

Anyway, it's good. I'm digging the song more and more too.

Her whole album is available for preview on her myspace page. Honestly there's not one bad track. They're all catchy as hell and there are quite a few potential hit singles on there.

It does have a very cool sound, I hadn't even paid attention to the words until this afternoon to be honest ha ha...I guess Radio 1 will play the hell out of it, do you listen to the Chris Moyles show??

"I Kissed A Girl" is catchy as sh*t but it's such a novelty song.

Katy Perry will need a strong second single to avoid the inevitable one-hit wonder curse.
