I guess Clive and Alicia couldn't make up their mind between "Lesson Learned" and "Wreckless Love" so they decide on this.
What you think?
Personally, I think its too safe as a third single but it is quite catchy though.
What's your source?
Also, I'm fine with TLA being the next single. I'm just glad it isn't "Lesson Learned." I like LL, but three slow songs in a row is overkill. TLA is a safe choice, but it's so freaking radio friendly and it's been getting unsolicited airplay since the album dropped.
Does anyone else think "I Need You" and "Where Do We Go From Here" should be considered for singles, particularly the former?
It supposed to be going for add next week on urban but I can't seem to find that damn link. I'll find it. But anyway, from my understanding it will go for add on Pop at the end of March as well.
It seems a New York radio station is already killing this track.
I really want "Where Do We Go From Here" to be a single but I don't know how it will do also "I Need You", but I will be happy if she will release "Tell You Something" then I'm good for the rest of this year.
Oh I heard the label test "Wreckless Love" and "Teenage Love Affair" at the radio and "Teenage Love Affair" won. Something like that....lol

I finally heard TLA on the radio the other day. The DJs went crazy over the song and was like "That's hot! New Alicia right there!"
Anyway, is there any word on a video release? And when will the song be sent to pop stations and when will it be released for downloads?
It's amazing how this album is still in the top 5, despite the fact that "No One" peaked weeks ago and "Like You'll..." wasn't as big of a hit as J Records had hoped for. But the ride will end soon if the label doesn't get moving on promoting the third single.
Anyways, Alicia could have done so much better than "Teenage Love Affair." I recently heard it on the radio and it's just a very mediocre track overall. I can't imagine it being a very big hit for her.
Hopefully, she didn't miss her opportunity with "Wreckless Love", which should have been single number 3, but will hopefully be single number 4. It's easily one of the album's standout tracks and one of her best shots at not only having a smash hit, but also getting into ROTY and SOTY. I can't imagine "Teenage Love Affair" (or "Like You'll Never See Me Again", for that matter) getting her into either one of those categories, despite being an obvious frontrunner for AOTY.
what is going on with this album? i forgot about it. "wreckless love" is still a jam for me, but the album seems to have lost all momentum. i know "like you'll never see me again" is still rising at pop, but why not send a new song to urban radio?
After one of the slowest but steadily rising climbs I've ever seen on the charts, "Like You'll Never See Me Again" finally lost its bullet on pop radio and is starting to fall.
Yeah, it's time for single #3.

I like "Teenage love affair", but, I think "Wreckless Love" would've done better as the next single.
Blender Magazine on Kelly Clarkson: " The Texas native has one of the great voices in pop music, a powerful and versatile instrument that’s steeped in the rhythm and blues and country music she grew up with in the South. If Mariah Carey’s five-octave voice is the equivalent of an expensively bred poodle, then Clarkson’s is a bloodhound: friendly, earthy, but fierce just the same."
She has been overseas touring for the past couple months. She shot the video for "Teenage Love Affair" this past weekend. It should be released on April 23 when she is on 106 & Park.
Also she now has the best selling album of the year (on the Billboard calendar).
ALICIA KEYS IS THE MOTHERF*CKIN BEST!!!!!!!

After tearing up the charts and being everywhere, Alicia's promotion of this cd has just falling off this earth. I don't think TLA will have a huge impact. I love this song though!

Keys Claims 'Gangsta Rap Didn't Exist' AP Posted: 2008-04-12 19:22:50 Filed Under: Music News NEW YORK (April 12) - There's another side to Alicia Keys: conspiracy theorist.
The Grammy-winning singer-songwriter tells Blender magazine: "'Gangsta rap' was a ploy to convince black people to kill each other. 'Gangsta rap' didn't exist."
Keys, 27, said she's read several Black Panther autobiographies and wears a gold AK-47 pendant around her neck "to symbolize strength, power and killing 'em dead," according to an interview in the magazine's May issue, on newsstands Tuesday.
Another of her theories: That the bicoastal feud between slain rappers Tupac Shakur and Notorious B.I.G. was fueled "by the government and the media, to stop another great black leader from existing."
Keys' AK-47 jewelry came as a surprise to her mother, who is quoted as telling Blender: "She wears what? That doesn't sound like Alicia." Keys' publicist, Theola Borden, said Keys was on vacation and unavailable for comment.
Though she's known for her romantic tunes, she told Blender that she wants to write more political songs. If black leaders such as the late Black Panther Huey Newton "had the outlets our musicians have today, it'd be global. I have to figure out a way to do it myself," she said.
The multiplatinum songstress behind the hits "Fallin"' and "No One" most recently had success with her latest CD, "As I Am," which sold millions.

am I reading this right? is she saying Tupac ws going to be a great black leader? and the gold ak47 is supposed to be about killing them dead....who's "Them"?

What's happened to the promotion of this album? What the heck is going on? There are some great songs here that I think are sure-fire hits.
All I know is that J and Alicia better jump back on the bandwagon. Mariah and Usher will definitely be prime competition for her in the general field next year, and you can be sure that IDJ and LaFace are doing all in their power to promote those 2 powerhouse artists. Heck, Usher's single hit #1 with no promo and no video.

I AGREE!.
I think 2pac would've been a great black leader had he lived longer. He was a smart man. As for her statement on "Gangsta Rap"?! I heard about the "drama" on the radio, the radio personality made it known they disagreed with her statement....but guess what, they were white. Obviously they didn't feel the same way as Alicia did. I respect her more for that statement. I actually kinda understood where she came from in that statement, but I think it came off wrong, thats all.

Honestly, I don't know what the hell is going on. I know this magazine article was on her official site but it has been taken down now. She hasn't made an official statement yet though to confirm if her words taken out of context or not. I know it has been crazy though.

I would love to see "I Need You" as a single. IT is quite upbeat and the arrangement is quite nice. It is a really nice radio-friendly song. "Superwoman" or "Tell You Something" should be released before the John Mayer duet. Tell you something just smells like SOTY bait. I really like the lyrics and the arrangement of the some as well. "Teenage Love Affair" is the weakest of her songs. But thats just my take on it.
She really needs to choose the next few songs wisely to be sure that she is a lock to win AOTY (which at this point she richly deserves).
WOW! I just her on the Today show, which I didn't even know she was going to be on. First off, she looked gorgeous. 2nd, the performance was very nice. 3rd, I can't wait to see the video, based on the clip they showed!!!
Gotta bop like this cant wear skinny jeans cuz my knots dont fit.
