Grammy-Award winner Monica is back with her new single, "Let Me Know" (produced by Missy Elliot). The song was written by Jazmine Sullivan and Missy Elliot. It is expected to impact radio on August 3, 2009.
"Let Me Know" is the first single from Monica's sixth studio album, Still Standing, which is due out in January 2010.
Mad excited about this. I need some Mo in my life. I hope she comes hard and this album is a success unlike her last one (sadly).
.... Even if you are a million miles away, I can still feel you in my bed, near me, touch me, feel me and even at the bottom of the sea, I can still hear you inside my head, telling me, touch me, feel me, and all the time you were telling me lies

R&B needs one of its veteran divas to return, and Monica may just be the one. With all the buzz and success surrounding "Trust" right now, I'm hoping fans will latch on.
Here are some of the recorded tracks and producers for the new album:
"All I Know Is Me" (produced by Bryan Michael-Cox) "Appreciate" (produced by Bryan Michael-Cox & Kendrick Dean) "Believing In Me" (produced by Stargate) "How You Like It" (feat. Rocko) (produced by Drumma Boy) "I Don't Wanna" (produced by Jermaine Dupri & Bryan Michael Cox) "Let Me Know" (produced by Missy Elliot) "Never Give Up" (produced by Bryan Michael Cox & J. Dupri) "One In A Lifetime" (produced by J. Ferrari) "Picture In A Frame" (produced by Bryan Michael-Cox & Kendrick Dean) "Real Talk" (feat. Rocko) (produced by Bryan Michael-Cox) "So Bad" (produced by Drumma Boy) "Still Standing" (feat. Ludacris) (produced by Bryan Michael Cox and written by Christopher "Ludacris" Bridges & Adonis Stropshire) "Taxi" (produced by Stargate)

I am really pulling for Monica on this next album.I'm anxious to hear these tracks.
I hope she changes her mind about this first single "Lemme Know", b/c its not good enough. I actually don't like it. I think its a little bit of a hot mess. Her, Missy, and Jazmine Sullivan tried to do the whole old school meets new school sound and it just didn't work here. I did love the other two songs that leaked by Mo: "One in a Lifetime" and "Still Standing". She's still an incredible singer. I just saw her perform live last week and she STILL sounds AMAZING! I think after her "Trust" duet with Keyshia Cole, everyone in the urban community is really rooting for her to make a comeback, so I wish the best for her and her career!
For Your Grammy Consideration: Kanye West for "Heartless" and 808's & Heartbreak Adele for "Hometown Glory" Taylor Swift for "You Belong With Me" & Fearless Maxwell for "Pretty Wings" & BLACKsummer'snight Kings of Leon for "Use Somebody" The Cast of GLEE for "Don't Stop Believin' " Mariah Carey for "Obsessed"
Last I checked, Alicia Keys doesn't have a new album coming out any time soon, Jennifer Hudson's pregnant, and I haven't heard anything about a new Fantasia release for this year.
Therefore, J Records needs to step up the promo game and give Monica the attention she deserves. She's a veteran who deserves more than the label has been giving her.
And I agree with 24fanatic. With the success of "Trust," people are ready for Monica to return. And her performance with Keyshia Cole on the BET Awards certainly helped as well; it was one of the few stellar performances on the entire show, and Monica straight up KILLED it.

Alicia's album is coming out sooner than you all think. She is currently shooting a video for her new single, "Looking for Paradise," and features Alejandro Sanz. So, yea... hopefully, Mo doesn't get left in the shuffle.

I like both "One In A Lifetime" and "Taxi" WAY better than the first single, "Let Me Know." Monica would've been better off releasing "Taxi" as the first single. I'm really feeling that one. I hope she reconsiders.
I'm liking "Taxi" and some of the other tracks. "Lemme Know" on the other hand is not the best. How is this the first single?
But let's be honest people, we all know Monica is gonna flop. She won't even sell as much as Ashanti's flop sales. That's too bad though, Monica has a great voice but the direction her label is taking her in is pretty sad. They really pay no attention to her on their artist roster. Give the girl a proper budget for the album recordings, production, promotional tours, etc.
