I think once a song is submitted, whether it was eligible or ineligible, it cannot be submitted again or it's no longer eligible.
I might have to check my sources, but I'm sure there are a few technicalities there.
Yeah, can you check in with your sources. I'm pretty sure it will be ineligible.
Somehow Beyonce scammed her way into having her two songs submitted onto the Official Grammy ballot even though it was blatantly obvious the songs were released after the cut off date September 30th, 2008. It's definitely gonna backfire on her now since "Single Ladies" was a massive hit for her.
I don't think the same exact song has ever been submitted on two Grammy ballots in consecutive years. She got nominated this year for "Me, Myself & I", but if I'm not mistaken it was for a live version or something?
Anyways, with all the technicalities that are involved in the nomination process. I think Beyonce's "Single Ladies" is ineligible, as well as her single "If I Were A Boy".
Agreed. Not because the song was too big means it is impossible for it to be ignored. I am actually happy that it got snubbed this year because it really is not suppose to be eligible. Had they waited to submit it next year, I'd fully support its noms.
I hope The Office wins as Best Comedy Series for this year's Emmy Awards.

Since"I Am.....Sasha Fierce" is a constant seller I do think Beyonce will be getting her first AOTY nomination. The album was heavily praised by critics,so I dont see why it wont get in!

not trying to start anything, but you're wrong. it received mediocre reviews. it currently has a 62 at metacritic, which is lower than her last album.

Heavily praised by critics? I don't think so.
The album has gotten favorable reviews but it wasn't HEAVILY praised.

Like "As I Am" received an AOTY nomination this year??
Mark my words, Beyonce will NOT get an AOTY nomination next year. I will bet money on it.

So what? She could still get in AOTY!
I don't think an Album has ever been nominated for Album of the Year and has had a low score of 62. I think the minimum was hovering around a 65/66. Most of the albums that do get nominated are in the mid to high 70's or 80's.

GET REAL! You dont know ****. With this year's past Grammy Nominations we learn that anything could happen. If Beyonce's album continues to sell she will most likely get an AOTY nomination! I dont know what your problem is!
Beyonce can be listed as a Contender for an Album of the Year nomination. I have no problem with that at all. I just don't see her getting a nomination for this album because I personally find it inconsistent and don't really like the double disc idea to it. However, the album is a big commercial success and I guess can be listed as a contender but the critics didn't love it as much as your making it out to be.
