I didnt say that just because it's a big seller it would get in,I said it would help,Wise guy! The chances of her getting an AOTY nomination are good. Look at this year's Grammys. They proved that anyone could get nominated anywhere.

LOL!!! I never listed that as my main reason. Why do you feel like starting an argument for with the rude replies? haha
The albums critical reviews aren't strong enough to warrant it a nomination. That's my point. Not the fact that I personally don't think the album is very strong.
I can easily turn around your logical response now on you. Just because you love the album doesn't mean it'll get an AOTY nomination. You said the album was heavily praised by critics when it really isn't. The only thing its got going for it is the commercial success. It's a big seller. Big sellers have definitely made the AOTY lineup but recent examples such as Mariah Carey's "Emancipation" and Usher's "Confessions" had the album reviews to back it up.
I'm not gonna tell you to change your views on this, I'm simply just stating my opinion on the matter. No need to flip out on someone for disagreeing with you.
Now let's have a drink and compile a master list that DoubleD can add to the main page of this thread since it's still blank.

I just wanted to add to my last post about Mariah's "Emancipation" album. It had a 64 Metacritic score and received an AOTY nod. But many other factors were included in her nomination such as the "Comeback" factor and how big "We Belong Together" was. Add on the fact it was the highest selling album of the year I believe.
This was the lowest scoring album on Metacritic to make the lineup from what I'm aware of. But like I said, Mariah had other factors helping her out to land that nomination. I'll look into other nominees and see what Metacritic scores land the nomination.
I agree that Beyonce will not be in the AOTY lineup. If she couldn't get a nod for her debut album (which felt bigger), than I don't see getting one for this one.

Alicia is slightly more favored by NARAS and is a bigger seller than Beyonce, and did not get a nomination.
Beyonce will need to do a hell of a lot more than introduce to an alter ego with a silver hand to get an AOTY nomination. It isn't happening.
That's because Alicia did something wrong at the AMA's.They were punishing her.LOL Like I said you dont know yet,so just stop assuming she wont get one. You dont want her to get one but that wont stop her from possibly getting one!
I HIGHLY doubt Beyonce will get into AOTY. However, it's not totally impossible. It depends on the success of her singles. "Halo" and "Diva" won't be huge hits. That may hurt her chances.
