What the hell? It's a new year, I've gotten some new stuff and heard some new stuff. About time, i say. And being that this is the third year in a row I've started the thread, I'll post my faves of the year so far (unranked at this point). Everyone else join in!
Singles: "Heads Will Roll", Yeah Yeah Yeahs (this is why I started the thread. This song is AWESOME) "Pokerface", Lady Gaga "Gives You Hell", technically an 08 release, but I've gotten into it lately "Ulysess", Franz Ferdinand "The Fear", Lily Allen (also probably an 08 release) "If U Seek Amy", Britney Spears "Spaceman", The Killers
Albums (I've only bought three 09 releases, but all are very good) Lily Allen, "The Fear" Franz Ferdinand, "Tonight: Franz Ferdinand" The Lonely Island, "Incredibad" (I can't help it, it's hilarious)
"Rockin' That Sh!t", The Dream "Sing To Me", Mario "Buck On The Dash", Karina Pasian "Fly", Keri Hilson "She Got Her Own", Jamie Foxx, Ne-Yo, & Fabolous "Gibberish", Ryan Lesile "Please Don't Leave Me", P!nk "Thinking Of You", Kate Perry "Nobody But You", Cassie "Emergency Room", Rihanna & Akon "No Other", Keyshia Cole & Amina "Slow Dancing In A Burning Room", Durand Bernarr
Album:
"Ryan Lesile", Ryan Lesile
I have enjoyed a lot of singles this year so far. This dude Durand should really be checked out, he can sing for real.

Chris Cornell's "Scream" album will definitely make my "Best Of" list at the end of the year.
Grammy FYC: Kanye West, 808s & Heartbreak; Black Eyed Peas, The E.N.D.; John Legend, Evolver; Paolo Nutini, Sunny Side Up; David Guetta, One Love; Kelly Clarkson, "Already Gone"; Jordin Sparks, "Battlefield"; Kings Of Leon, "Use Somebody"; Maxwell, "Pretty Wings"
This thread is very useful. I forgot that I listened to music with so much time being used up trying to analyze movies and their chances of being nominated for an Oscar. Thanks!
I love the new Yeah Yeah Yeahs single by the way.
I do not want to disappoint our Japanese public, especially Godzilla. Hahaha! I'm just kidding, I know he doesn't care what humans do.
I am liking Franz Ferdinand "Ulysses". I just listened to Yeah Yeah Yeah's "Heads Will Roll" and it is great, as people are saying here. Is Lily Allen "The Fear" 08 or 09?

Check out The-Dream's new album. It's really hot.
Also, if you're a fan of hip hop, check out Canadian "newcomer" (he's not new) Drake. Man, there are some SICK tunes on this album and it features people like Lil Wayne, Bun B, Trey Songz, and Santogold. Mixtape is called "So Far Gone." Seriously -- as a fan of hip hop, check it out!
