Not sure if this will get that many comments, but i just wanted to say that in my honest and humble opinion, this is the best album of the year so far and doubt it will be topped, it's simply a work of art, pretty close to perfection and definitely their best effort so far.

I would love it if this album could make the Album of the Year Grammys next year, of course it all depends on its commercial success, but things look good so far with "Uprising" moving up on the charts. Thoughts?

I keep hearing about them, and I think they just debuted on the Billboard 200 with a pretty solid debut. What's their music comparable to?

F4J, The Muse kinda have this Cold Play up-tempo vibe. They're chill as heck but they can Rock hard.

I've heard their music on my local alternative rock station and on Sirius radio. I was really impressed with their VMAs performance. I hope they find success here in the US.

I would add that they kind of sound like Radiohead a bit too, mostly so on their first albums, lead singer Matt Bellamy's voice is just beautiful and this album has an epic and ambitious sound, kind of Queen meets Chopin. The band produced the album by themselves. Reviews are great so far.

I have a feeling they are going to be everywhere this year. I could definitely see them blowing up Kings of Leon style, I don't really know why.

^^^I hope so, they deserve it.

I wish this forum was more diverse in its musical tastes tho, so it's nice to see an "unknown" here.

I really like Muse. Rock music isn't really discussed in this forum, so I rarely come here.

Muse started off sounding a bit like Radiohead. Since then, they seem to have absorbed a lot more influences. Now, I hear Queen, Depeche Mode, U2, other rock acts, and definitely some classical influence on this new album.

I think this album by Muse is pretty good. I like a lot of the songs. Definitely a solid album. I'd give it a solid B+. I find it a tad uneven. But, I like the branching out they are doing. Couple tracks in the middle I am a bit unsure about. Good beginning and good ending though.

I think their last album, "Black Holes and Revelations" was brilliant, though. I found it to be much more coherent thematically. The lyrics were wild! I totally loved it. That is a strong grade A album to me.

By the way, you absolutely MUST see Muse live. They are AMAZING live. One of the best live acts I have ever seen. That is how I got into them. Saw them live in 2006 and was blown away. They are opening for U2 on the East Coast this month. They probably should tour in the USA on their own early next year.
