Lady Love has been pushed back to August 25. The second single is "She Ain't Got..." (originally titled "She Ain't Got Sh*t On Me). I'm not really feeling this song. LeToya has got to come harder than this. I really want her to be successful, but she and her label are making very poor single choices.
I'm not sure if yall heard about this drama....but apparently BET executives wanted LeToya to perform at the BET Awards, and Matthew Knowles threatened them by saying that Beyonce would not perform (or even show up to the ceremony) if LeToya performs...
And apparently Papa Knowles won...I love Beyonce and all, but this is a damn shame!!!! Let that drama go...soooo freaking petty..
I hope this isn't true. However, it sounds like something that Beyonce's dad would do. I remember the way Matthew Knowles kicked LaTavia and LeToya out of Destiny's Child. That was pure shade.
I thought Beyonce and LeToya were on speaking terms. I recall LeToya saying she carries Beyonce's clothing line, House of Dereon, in her boutique in Houston, Texas.
The music video for "She Ain't Got..." was shot on June 3, 2009. It was directed by Grammy-nominee Bryan Barber (OutKast, Christina Aguilera, Destiny's Child, Kelly Clarkson). The video will feature guest star Major League Baseball players Orlando Hudson and Matt Kemp of the Los Angeles Dodgers and Baseball Hall of Famer Dave Winfield.
The song was written by LeToya Luckett, Andre Merritt and Chris Brown. It was produced by Cory Bold. This song has grown on me. It's a hot one. I hope it becomes a hit for LeToya.
I was watching the BET pre-show and I saw Letoya perform. I decided to look her up and She Ain't Got..... is pretty good. This could be a nice hit for her if treated properly.
I agree though. I thought she was very good. It also makes her look even better that she's in the midst of a terrible performance lineup. She's the only one who's performed so far that was actually worth seeing.
Everybody else has been either average or borderline terrible.
Being a fan of LeToya I can say that the Bet Awards performance was the opportunity to show her talent and stop the comparisons between her and Beyonce, but she loose her chance, the performance was boring, the song was boring , everything was blende and nothing new to give to the fans. The first thing I thougth after the awards was that while Keri Hilson indeed take advantage of the opportunity to be there, LeToya didnt.She has a voice, but not a good performer, no marketing plan, nothing that other r&b artists don´t have. I hope she can do something.
