My being a fan of Beyonce's has absolutely nothing to do with this. You simply had no logical rebuttal, which is why you took the Beyonce defense. Beyonce is the current frontrunner for Best Contemporary R&B Album, and I think that's pretty evident. So why would I make my statements about Whitney because of Beyonce's chances? That doesn't make much sense. Try again.
Right now, Whitney isn't a threat to ANYBODY. You can't be a threat when you don't have any music out. It's just that simple.
Why do you think Whitney may be a threat? Please enlighten me, because that's the question I've been asking around here and nobody can come up with an answer that makes any sense.
My thing is this: why not just wait until her material is released, then start predicting? What's so wrong with that? People are so quick to jump the gun that they don't even have the patience to wait for the music to be released. She could turn out to be a threat, but we won't know until we hear the music.
And Troy, it's pretty obvious how you feel about Whitney, so why go in her thread and this one repeating yourself? Makes no sense.
For the people that might not visit both threads. When you have multiple threads discussing the same thing, things are going to be repeated. Makes perfect sense. You certainly don't have to read or worry about them if my repeated posts bother you so much.
How is Whitney a front runner over a Beyonce when Whitney hasn't released anything yet? I HIGHLY doubt that Whitney will have the success Beyonce has had this year. She she is front runner makes no sense. Bottom line is people are hyping Whitney for Grammy love WAY too prematurely.

Who said anything about success? And when does success automatically = Grammy love or win? Whitney has other factors that can help her prevail.
I have other reasons for why I think Whitney might be a threat, even if she releases crap. I'm not going to get into with you because it's a waste.
So now, if I say Whitney isn't necessarily a front-runner in Female R&B Performance, I am worried?? I'm being real. Considering I like Whitney and Beyonce just about equally, I am not worried about anything. Just wondering your rationale for seeming to think Whitney will win it when we haven't heard what she is bringing yet? Are you basing it off of "I Didn't Know My Own Strength?"

I'm talking about Best Female R&B Vocal Performance. You seem worried.
It doesn't make sense.
I'm not talking about any particular category. I'm talking about in general. And what is there for me to worry about? You're assuming that I care more about Beyonce's chances than I actually do, and you're wrong.
You're obviously getting a bit upset because you know that your Whitney predictions are a bit ahead of themselves and that it doesn't make sense to predict her right now until you've heard the music. I think you know that, but just don't want to admit it.

Because Beyonce's success has paid off tremendously for her in the past. How many Grammy's does she have??
Any "other" reasons why Whitney might prevail all have to do with her personal obstacles and "the comeback" factor. I understand that perfectly, but am not quick to declare her the front-runner in any category because of it.

Since you're specifically talking about R&B Female, name a winner this decade that didn't have major success backing them upon a win.
Exactly. You can't. And since Whitney has yet to show us that she's in the position (based on her success) to win R&B Female, I don't see how she can be the frontrunner.

Oh, you're so right, MrTalented. I can't put anything passed you, huh? Whitney's not winning anything. She's not even going to get nominated. Her music will flop. Beyonce will win in every category in the R&B field. There you have it. I admitted it. And it's no sarcasm.

I see there's no possible way to discuss this maturely with you. I never insinuated any of that.
I'm just saying that we should all wait until we actually HEAR Whitney's material. She could very well emerge as a major threat and frontrunner. This album could be the huge comeback that it's been hyped up to be. I'm not saying anything to the contrary.
All I'm saying is that we should WAIT until we've actually heard the music. I think that's pretty reasonable.

these are just predictions though. whitney is a past grammy winner, a legend, will have major label backing and promotion, the coming back from a highly publisized fall from grace, is it really that much of a stretch to call her a threat in a category? seriously? sure theres a chance that she could release crap and not get nominated, just like theres a chance that beyonce will get snubbed across the baord like alicia keys did, just like theres a chance that blah blah blah. i don't see anything wrong with someone prediction a big name respected artist being a threat in some categories.
