So SPIN Mag confirms the album title is 'Light & Darkness', and it is coming out in September.
Christina Aguilera Recording with Le Tigre The "Dirrty" pop star experiments with different sounds on her September release.

Christina Aguilera sure has come a long way from her "Genie in a Bottle" days. For her upcoming September album, Light & Darkness, she recorded songs with British electronic acts Goldfrapp and Ladytron, plus former Zero 7 singer Sia, as SPIN.com reported last summer.
Now, Perez Hilton says that über-feminist punk group Le Tigre will join "Xtina" in the studio to work on the album.
Known for their bold lyrics and outspoken support of gay/lesbian and women's rights, Le Tigre had been on a musical hiatus since 2007. Dogged by rumors of a split, singer Kathleen Hanna (formerly of the "riot grrrl" band Bikini Kill) took to the group's MySpace in April to proclaim that Le Tigre had not broken up. And now comes this news.
In fact, Sia might be the one responsible for getting Le Tigre on board with the project. She and bandmember JD Samsom have been romantically linked -- and as she told SPIN.com, she thinks Christina is "rad"!
Alternative electro-rockers Le Tigre have just been added to the list of collaborators for Christina Aguilera's upcoming fourth studio album "Light & Darkness".
The all female lesbian 3-piece are best known for their underground hit "TKO". The groups last album was in 2004, and they've been on an official break since 2007 only now reuniting to work with Aguilera.
Also featured on her self-described "futuristic electro" album will be Tricky Stewart, Sia, Linda Perry, Claude Kelly, Goldfrapp, and Ladytron.
It's about time. I kept hearing she was coming out with something new, but I haven't heard any confirmation. I'm ready for some new stuff from her.
Blender Magazine on Kelly Clarkson: " The Texas native has one of the great voices in pop music, a powerful and versatile instrument that’s steeped in the rhythm and blues and country music she grew up with in the South. If Mariah Carey’s five-octave voice is the equivalent of an expensively bred poodle, then Clarkson’s is a bloodhound: friendly, earthy, but fierce just the same."
Baltimore Examiner (concert review): "Her sultry voice is absolutely flawless. The tone and range floors you. When she belts out a note, it's precise yet powerful."
"Music is powerful, it's a drug that makes your inhibitions go away and leaves your vulnerabilities exposed" - KC

Yeah. I just hope she learned from the mistake that was "Keeps Gettin' Better".

She doesnt strain too much to me! Gucci is gonna rip your head off for that comment, though!
That's no diss to X-tina, but anyone who thinks she doesn't strain needs to clean the wax out of their ears. BTW, I was one of the few people who actually liked "Keeps Gettin' Better."
I was going to make a thread about this album. But, I was waiting until I got the name of the title. I hear the album is due out the same day as Whitney Houston's, September 1, 2009. I hear the new single is due out in July.
Classof2006 -- I'm not going to "rip" off musicluva123's head. He/She is entitled to his/her opinion. I'm trying to refrain from negativity on this board.
I also loved "Keeps Gettin' Better." I'm so excited that Christina Aguilera is working with Linda Perry again as well as Tricky Stewart, Sia and Goldfrapp.

If this album is anything like "Keeps Gettin' Better" I'll be very disappointed. I hope she took the time to fine tune her direction into the Electronica genre.

Whitney vs. Christina!!!
That would definitely help spike up album sales for both ladies.

Get out? Oh my gosh, this is going to be hot! Danja is a good producer. Christina Aguilera is not playing this time around. This year has been so dry with mediocre releases, finally we get something worthwhile. I can't wait. I feel like a kid in a candy store!
Originally posted by musicluva123: toronto, what didn't you like about "Keeps Gettin' Better"?
I really hated the line "Somedays I'm a super bitch"...That really annoyed me...lol I also wasn't a big fan of the songs production.
The music video was also atrocious so that didn't help to make me like the song.
Anyways, I'm remaining optimistic that this album will be top notch. She definitely wasn't going to release a gem of a track for her Greatest Hits album. She released a C or B track at best for that.

I agree Dcurrie, I thought her last single was ridiculous..
Alot of people like to harp on Mariah that she needs to try something new. I say the same for Christina. I would love for her to do a more urban/soulful album or something like Stripped. Her voice fits it more, but I guess she has to please her popbase.

Wait what, Tae? On this album she is working with Ladytron, Goldfrapp, Sia, and (fvcking) Le Tigre. It sounds like she is DEFINETELY trying something new. I'm interested to see how all these acts mesh with Christina.
BTW, do you guys think that Christina might be the most respected pop singer by her peers, and "elderstatesmen" of music?
