Love how innovative her producers and writers were.
I'm definitely excited for this one. While many were disappointed with Keeps Gettin Better, I'm one of the few people who liked it. It's a filler song for a GH album. What do you expect? The video did show potential but was a little underwhelming.Though I understand where the hate is coming from.
i hope she'll deliver big this time.
I hope The Office wins as Best Comedy Series for this year's Emmy Awards.

Christina Aguilera could make Stripped 2 and 3, but instead she did Back to Basics and Ligth & Darkness now, that is what a true artist do , reinvent herself in each piece of art. Everybody knows that if she had released songs like Bleeding Love or something more urban she will have many more 1´s , but she did experiments like "Candyman", "Aint no other man" and "genie 2.0" now with the futuristic electro maybe will not be a huge hit like B2B, but this confirms what she is : A great and true Pop Culture artist.

"Keeps Gettin Better" wasn't bad, but I didn't like "Dynamite" at all. The new versions of "Genie" and "Beautiful" were my favorites.
And Goldfrapp? That's cool and all (the new songs on her hits album were obviously influenced by them), but they allegedly turned down an offer to work with Madonna, so why would they work with Christina?
am i the only one worried she's sticking with this electro-funk sound, that clearly wasn't very popular with "Keeps Getting Better"? I'm worried that Christina is going to be the Cyndi Lauper of her generation in that she does artistic work but doesn't go over well in the mainstream.
Praying The Daytime Emmys air on TV in 2010!

I am so looking forward to this new album. I still LOVE "Stripped" and really hope she can bring something that rivals it. I also, really, really like "Keeps Gettin' Better."
I must say, the title bothers me a bit. It should be "Light and Dark" or "Lightness and Darkness." Minor, I know, but I am still looking forward to this! Man, this will be a HOT year for female solo artist releases!

Yeah, but honestly, would that be so bad? And with Lady GaGa doing so well right now, I don't think it's a bad idea to continue in that direction. She just needs to do it right and put her own stamp on it.

Cyndi Lauper didnt sold out arenas all over the world, Christina Aguilera had the best female solo tour sales in 2006 even though Back to Basics was not very succesful in the US, Christina can fill the same arenas as Madonna in Europe, Latin America, Australia, Asia and Middle East. She is absolutly not this generation Cyndi Lauper, he just didnt appeal with US audiences with her last so artistic efforts.

Yeah I'm thinking the same thing.
I hope there are some songs on this CD that are in the vein of her "Stripped" era. I loved that CD.
It may be premature but I think its very likely that her first single will receive a Best Female Pop Vocal nomination.
I think its AWESOME that Christina is working with new writers and producers. This sounds like it could be her Most ambitious Record to date. I will be interesting to see what she does musically with these producers.
I hope we get a single by next month if the record Dropsmin September. I am thinking that this album will have 13 tracks on the standard edition and then probably a Delux with 2-4 Extra songs on it.
