Blender Magazine on Kelly Clarkson:
" The Texas native has one of the great voices in pop music, a powerful and versatile instrument that’s steeped in the rhythm and blues and country music she grew up with in the South. If Mariah Carey’s five-octave voice is the equivalent of an expensively bred poodle, then Clarkson’s is a bloodhound: friendly, earthy, but fierce just the same."

Baltimore Examiner (concert review):
"Her sultry voice is absolutely flawless. The tone and range floors you. When she belts out a note, it's precise yet powerful."

"Music is powerful, it's a drug that makes your inhibitions go away and leaves your vulnerabilities exposed" - KC

Nobody. BEP will replace themselves with "Meet me Halfway".

I don't think that BEP are going to replace themselves with "Meet Me Halfway." Not saying that song won't get to #1, but it is looking more like "Down" will be the song to replace them. "I Gotta Feeling" is starting its decline in sales and airplay, so the large lead that they currently have will diminish rather quickly.

And actually, I don't mind that "Party in the USA" song. lol

Is there even a release date for "Meet Me Halfway" at this point?

My radio station just started playing "Meet Me Halfway". This song definitely sounds like it will hit #1 on the Hot 100. The Black Eyed Peas are releasing the right singles off their poor album The E.N.D.

Yeah. MMH is my favorite cut from their album.

As much as I'm sick of seeing them on top, I gotta hand it to them - they're releasing excellent singles!

Does anyone know what song holds the record for preventing the most other songs from reaching #1 (peak at #2)?

Right now, "I Gotta Feeling" has kept "Party in the USA," "You Belong With Me," "Best I Ever Had," and I think "I Know You Want Me" from reaching #1. Currently, "Down" is at #2, and I suspect it will stay there.

Is this some sort of record? This doesn't even include songs "Boom Boom Pow" kept at #2.

This last statement of yours could well raise a debate. Similar situation to Rihanna's "Good Girl Gone Bad": people said it was a mediocre to OK album but she had hit after hit after hit, but I can understand where you're coming from. Something similar happened to me with Kelly Clarkson's Breakaway. I loved the singles, bought the album and I thought it was so disappointing.

Is "The E.N.D." that bad an album? I have enjoyed all the singles so far.

GGGB received moderate to good reviews. The BEP album was basically panned by critics. "I Got A Feeling" and "Meet Me Halfway" are literally among the only good songs on that album. There's a huge drop off after these tracks.

Speak for yourself. I love "The E.N.D." is one of the best pop albums beginning to end I've heard in a while. It's been the perfect summer album to have on for a party.

Nobody. BEP will replace themselves with "Meet me Halfway".

And they're going to be on Oprah's 24th season opener party 2morrow.It was taped outside and the crowd goes on for blocks.I wonder if they'll do Meet me Halfway.I can't believe the BEP's have held the top spot for the entire summer with two songs. When is the last time that has happened?

Is there even a release date for "Meet Me Halfway" at this point?

I love that song! BEP are really on a streak. Damn....good for them.
