I loved getting to hear James sing "I Just Got Started Loving you" and his last song on the radio "Since You Brought It Up" on the Grand Ole Opry back in May. (smiles)
God bless you and him always!!!

Lady Gaga at the VMA's. From the bat**** performance, to the costume changes, Lady Gaga was the person to watch at the VMAs. But bringing Kermit as her guest? Unbelievably awesome.
Kings of Leon's rise to rock royalty. Although I wasn't a huge fan before, the two singles from this latest album ("Sex on Fire", and moreso "Use Somebody") intrigued me to buy their album. Seeing them live this summer at Lollapalooza sealed the deal.
Jack White introduces us to the Dead Weather. My mind was blown and my bones were crushed.
Quirky girl singer songwriters dominate my record buying, yet again this year. Regina Spektor, Tegan and Sara released the albums of the year. Lily Allen and Florence and the Machine didn't do too badly, either.
Bat**** bananas videos released by different acts this year. "Kids" by MGMT, "Hold the Line" by Major Lazer, "The Reeling" by Passion Pit. Seriously, check them out.
Karen O remains the biggest rockstar of our time. It's Blitz is undeniably awesome, their videos are undeniably awesome, and despite a new sheen, they still have that punk sensibility. Saw them twice this year, and one time was surely their biggest show ever. Releasing the "Wild Things" soundtrack under the moniker Karen O and the Kids, further cemented her status. Sorry Jack White, Allison Mosshat, and Beth Ditto, Karen O is still the main bitch out there.
