Pretty amazing numbers...do you happen to know how Beyonce's album sales compare to others from this year? I know that back in January, it was ranked as the tenth-top selling album of the year, but she is continuing to push copies worldwide...just wondering if she is still in the top ten for this year....

I saw the information the otehr day, I'll try to find it. I do know that she has the 2nd Best Selling Album by a Female Artist That Was Released in 2008 World Wide. Only Duffy's "Rockferry" is ahead of her.

I'll try to get it for 2009 and her Ranks in the USA.

Check out my Worldwide Album Sales Thread. It's all updated now.

If "Single Ladies" is ineligible in Best Female R&B Vocal Performance, then unfortunately "Ego" will be Beyonce's winning song submission in that category. Nope

GET REAL! "Ego" is an amazing song and the lyrics are great. The video is killer too.

If "Ego" wins Best Female R+B Vocal Performance it will be very deserving,IMO!

You probably think EVERY Beyonce song is "amazing" with "great" lyrics. Queen Bee could do no wrong in your eyes...LOL. roflmao

That's right! roflmao Just like you do Christina Aguilera! roflmao

You know how I do. Cool

Not only did Beyonce go from ripping off other people's concepts/ideas, now she's even recycling her own stuff. The "Single Ladies," "Diva" and "Ego" videos all look alike. When will it end? suicide

Thank you Gucci glad i'm not the only one who noticed that! i guess she's recycling the Robert Palmer formula from the 80's when his 3 videos, "Addicted to Love", "I Didn't Mean to Turn You On" and "Simply Irresistible" all looked the same. Looks like Beyoncé's "ego" is bigger than her thighs these days! J/K

Yeah I do have to admit that all her videos from this era look the same!

Yup, there is a Theme Going on With All Her Videos this Era.

Robirob at BWBoard posted this

quote:

In addition to the black and white of course.

I am also noticing that the "I AM" videos have a very consistent theme

Fast Songs:
-3 Women Dancing - I call it the DC3 Silhouette for SL, Diva and Ego
-Some type of leotard outfit is featured in each video
-Cool Prop: Sasha Fierce Glove, Diva Shades (with fringe), Pimp Cane
-Bey also does something silly at the end of SL and Ego and the dance she does at the end of Ego reminds me of the dance she does at the end of Diva in the video and live
-Her hair was significantly different for all 3 videos.

Slow Songs:
-Video is about a Relationship / Love Affair
-A Man and a Woman are featured
-Bey is playing a character
-Her hair was the same for Boy and Halo

Its absolute lunacy that "Radio" has yet to be released as a single. It is the best song on her less than stellar album, and clearly screams "radio friendly" hit

^ I agree. I don't see "Ego" going anywhere as a single. And the "Single Ladies" comparisons are even more obvious than with "Diva," which at least tried to take it to a different level. It also occurred to me that the two back-up dancers she's been using for the Sasha videos are kind of like stand-ins for Kelly and Michelle. A lot of times I don't see why certain artists go solo (in the case of Beyonce, it obviously has to do with solo stardom being a part of the plan the entire time, and of course her "ego"), but in comparison to artists like Gwen Stefani and Justin Timberlake it made total sense while Beyonce's solo material hasn't been all that different, and the imagery is very similar. If you were in a coma for the last 6 years and woke up and saw "Single Ladies" and "Ego," you would think it was Destiny's Child.

Wikipedia (yeah, a really credible source, lol...) is reporting that "Video Phone" will be Beyonce's last single off the album, once "Ego" and "Sweet Dreams" peak. Apparently she is going to film the video sometime in early/mid July, and a remix will be released with Missy Elliot, Jeremih, T-Pain, Ludacris and The Dream.

Should be interesting...if its true.

I don't like it. Not memorable and catchy like SL and Diva. I do think she needs to switch it up and do moves that are more complicated and not too hoochie. She looks kinda greasy in Ego and I hate Flaws and All.

She's still awesome though.

Ugh No. It's wikipedia so we know how that goes.

Seriously I am not liking her single choices (Which ones are released, when and how) she needs to think outside her urban fans, they'll follow her no matter what she releases.

Seriously!

"SIngle Ladies" I can understand, and "If I Were A Boy" too, but not together.

I'm still wondering why "Radio" and "Sweet Dreams" weren't released right after "Single Ladies", "Diva" is OK, The video is the thing that made me like it (Mostly because of her wardrobe, Thierry Mugler/Gareth Pugh, Though Mostly Mugler). "Ego" is just OK, nothing special. Now "Video Phone"?! "Diva" and "Ego" are a waste of single space that could of gone to better tracks.

"Sweet Dreams" and "Radio" would attract both Pop and Urban. "Halo" and "If I Were A Boy" were good choices, "Smash Into You" should be next, and if she wants to throw out "Scared Of Lonely" that would be awesome.

"Sweet Dreams" better be an color ACID spillover into her Thierry Mugler gowns along with all the smoke, whistles, mirrors and lights her $315 Million dollar ass can afford!

^Estimated, 80 Million in 1 Year (June 2007 - June 2008) so that includes 1/2 of her shows from "The Beyonce Experiece", Her salary she got from "Obsessed", some of her deals and HOD.

Before that it would be what she sold with B'Day, part of her tour, her deals with Armani, AE, L'Oreal, Comcast, and so on, "Dreamgirls" and occasional appearances.

Before that All that she got from DC (Sales, tours and what not) and "Dangerously In Love" plus her movies and deals at that time.

Now her current tour and sales off "I Am Sasha Fierce" along with a few other deals.

Money making machine by the age of 27!

Does anyone know what time Beyonce's $20 tickets go on sale tomorrow? It doesn't make sense to make a huge push to sell tickets, but not tell people what time they can buy them.

BEYONCÉ OFFERING FANS $20 TICKETS FOR HER NORTH AMERICAN CONCERTS
(dateline - New York - May 27, 2009; source: Music World/Columbia Records)

BEYONCÉ OFFERING FANS $20 TICKETS FOR HER NORTH AMERICAN CONCERTS
Final 1,000 Specially-Priced Seats Per Show
Being Made Available On Friday, May 29

* * * * *

In order to make her concerts affordable to all of her fans, pop culture superstar Beyoncé set aside 2,000 seats for each of her North American shows for the special-value price of $20. The final 1,000 specially-priced $20 tickets for each of Beyoncé's North American concerts will be made available to the public on Friday, May 29.

The last 1,000 (per show) specially-priced tickets for Beyoncé's North American concert tour are being made available through Ticketmaster (www.ticketmaster.com/beyonce).

All of the concerts on Beyoncé's North American itinerary will have 1,000 specially-priced tickets made available with the exception of the artist's four-night residency at the Encore at Wynn Las Vegas.

Currently playing to sold-out arenas throughout Europe, Beyoncé's "I AM..." World Tour is shaping up as one of 2009's hottest concert attractions. The artist kicked off the European leg of her world tour in late April with an electrifying sold-out performance in Zagreb, Croatia where more than 17,500 ecstatic fans -- the largest single audience for an international artist in Croatian concert history -- danced, sang-along and partied with the iconic superstar during a history-making two-hour show. Her first of four sold-out shows at London's 20,000-seat O2 Arena, Europe's largest in-door concert venue, inspired the Telegraph.co.uk to headline its review: "Beyoncé Knowles raised the bar for what can be done in an arena show at the O2."

Beyoncé is bringing her 2009 "I AM..." World Tour to North America this summer with a series of full-length concerts beginning at New York's Madison Square Garden in June and ending with a four-night residency at Encore at Wynn Las Vegas July 30-August 2. Overwhelming demand for premium packages and general tickets for the shows have made the "I AM..." tour one of the fastest selling concert events of the year. A second Madison Square Garden concert date has been added in New York City on June 22 (please see full itinerary following). Beyoncé is co-sponsoring food drives along her tour itinerary as part of the Show Your Helping HandTM initiative, a national hunger relief campaign created by General Mills’ Hamburger Helper® in partnership with Beyoncé and her Survivor Foundation. The campaign goal is to help Feeding America deliver more than 3.5 million meals to local food banks. Consumers can get involved in the effort by submitting codes on specially marked boxes of Hamburger Helper®, by donating non-perishable food items at Beyoncé’s concerts in select cities across the U.S., or by donating money at www.showyourhelpinghand.com. Please visit www.showyourhelpinghand.com for more information.

The most heavily-anticipated concert event of 2009, Beyoncé's "I AM…" world tour marks the artist's first full-length concert series since 2007's sold-out "The Beyoncé Experience" shows. Beyoncé's current tour premieres live performances of songs from I AM...SASHA FIERCE, her latest international #1 chart-topping album.

Thierry Mugler, world-renowned designer, is serving as creative advisor and costume designer on Beyoncé's "I AM…" world tour. He has designed 71 new costumes for the event, highlighted by his bold signature look.

The "I AM..." world tour production showcases the music and film superstar like you've never seen her. Beyoncé's extraordinary all-female band joins her again to perform musical hits, classics, and surprises in a newly-created high-tech state-of-the-art concert environment. Winners of Beyoncé's "Single Ladies" Video Dance contest will see themselves on-screen during one of the centerpiece sections of the "I AM..." extravaganza.

The Beyoncé "I AM..." North American Concert Tour is co-sponsored by L'Oreal Paris and General Mills and produced by Live Nation and Music World Entertainment.

I'm guessing starting at 12:00AM

Would love too...but she isn't coming to Pittsburgh. She'll be in Philadelphia on June 26th, but I aaint driving 5 hours for a concert, haha...even if tickets were $20, lol.

Looks like I'll be buying that concert DVD whenever it comes out, unless Beyonce changes her mind and decides to come to Pittsburgh, haha...

I know how that feels, I was bumed out when she didn't release her Denver tour date, but the good news is that I'll fly to NYC to see her on the 22nd! (I was thinking of Las Vegas but the Concert Ticket alone was 800, but it included the room too but stillm the flight and who knows what else she'll sell me while I'm there, she knows I'll buy it)

She's the only artist that I would do this for.
