I'm not really fond of "American Boy" despite Kanye's appearance, but I have seen a couple of her TV appearances in the last week and heard some snippets on itunes and think I might like it. Plus she is on John Legend (who is one of my favs)'s label (if I heard right) so that is a huge plus for her. has anyone else seen or heard it? Yay or nay?

American Boy is competing for my single of the year award. I SENSE IT. It's excellent!

I really like "American Boy," but I haven't heard the rest of the album yet. Of course I intend to.

The album is pretty good. One of my favorites of the year for sure.

My favorite tracks are "Magnificent" and "Come Over."

I'm not really feeling "American Boy" (feat. Kanye West). However, I do like the first single "Wait A Minute (Just A Touch)." She'll have to grow on me before I purchase the album. Though I do think she could contend for Best New Artist.

And to get on track, I quite enjoy "american boy", but I'd have to hear more to get the album.

I've heard some more of the album and I think I'm going to get it...

but I don't like American Boy. To me it sounds like one of those awful songs they play in Old Navy. It seems strange to me that this was a first single because the other stuff I've heard from the album sounds different and better.

^^"American Boy" is actually not one of my favorite tracks on the album either. Not that it's bad.

"American Boy" is ok, but there are much better tracks on the cd.
