"Right Round" is looking like it will be the biggest hit of the year, and it's only March. The song is already over the 2 million mark in only a month. That's amazing. I'm not sure where Flo Rida will submit. He can go to either Rap Solo or Dance Recording. He's definitely a contender for either.
I haven't heard "Boom Bow Pow," but I don't want BEP to win Rap/Group again. Hopefully, they go to Pop where they should be. I'm hoping for a win for Ludacris, Jay-Z & Nas for "I Do It For Hip Hop". It's still too early to be calling winners. Let's see who gets nominated and who gets submitted where.

They rap on a lot of their songs. They still get submitted to either Rap or Pop. Weren't they rapping on "My Humps" and "Hey Mama," but both were submitted to Pop? They can go either way. I think it's too soon to say that they'll win.

Your right, They rapped on both "Hey Mama" and "My Humps" but I dont think "Hey Mama" was submitted to POP.
I think Rap album will be a showdown between Kanye and Emenem both are Grammy Favs.

Rap Solo: Kanye West-Heartless 50 Cent-I Get In Flo Rida-Right Round MIMS-Move(If You Wanna) Gorilla Zoe-Lost Slim Thug-I Run
Rap Sung/Collaboration: Keri Hilson/Lil Wayne-Turnin Me On Plies/Ashanti- Want It, Need It Jamie Foxx/T.I.-Just Like Me Keyshia Cole/Tupac-Playa Cardz Right Ludacris/T-Pain-One More Drink
Rap Song: Kanye West-Heartless Ludacris-I Do It For Hip-Hop 50 Cent-I Get In
Rap Album: Ludacris-Theater Of The Mind Kanye West-808 & Heartbreak 50 Cent-Before I Self Destruct
There is limited rapping on that album. Kanye's singing on that album. I think "Heartless" will go to Rap Solo because he's rapping a bit on there. Last year, Kanye submitted "Love Lockdown" to Best Male Pop Vocal Performance. He might submit 808s & Heartbreak somewhere else. He is dropping a rap album later on this year.

Good point.I could see him submitting to Pop Vocal Album but he isn't a singer. There should be some kind of rule for category placements and submissions that if your not a singer or a rapper you shouldn't be nominated in a certain category.
Like a few years back when Diddy,112,and Faith Evans won Rap Duo/Group for "I'll Be Missing You". I realize that Rap/Sung Collaboration wasn't around then but 112 and Faith ARE NOT rappers. They really should have won in R+B Group since there are more singers on the track than rappers.

But "I'll Be Missing You" was a rap song led by a rapper.

I guess but I still thought it should've been in R+B Duo/Group!

Great list Try Again! Here are my picks so far for the Rap Field nominees:
Rap Solo Performance: ---------------------------- Kanye West - "Heartless" (I think it will be placed here...if Def Jam is smart) Kid Cudi - "Day 'n' Nite" Mims - "Move (If U Wanna)" Soulja Boy Tell'Em - "Turn My Swag On" Flo Rida - "Right Round"
Rap Performance by a Duo or Group: ----------------------------------------- Birdman featuring Lil Wayne - "Always Strapped" Eminem, Dr. Dre, & 50 Cent - "Crack a Bottle" Yung L.A. featuring Young Dro & T.I. - "Ain't I" Ludacris & Shawnna - "Everybody Drunk" Kanye West featuring Young Jeezy - "Amazing"
Rap/Sung Collaboration ------------------------------ T.I. featuring Justin Timberlake - "Dead and Gone" Keri Hilson featuring Lil Wayne - "Turnin' Me On" Akon, Colby O'Donis, & Kardinal Offishall - "Beautiful" The-Dream featuring Kanye West - "Walking On the Moon" Lady Gaga, Space Cowboy, & Flo Rida - "Starstuck"
Does anyone know if there is a rule about being nominated twice in categories, b/c a lot of these artists have multiple songs from their albums that could be nominated, like other pics for this category could be:
The-Dream featuring Mariah Carey - "My Love" Keri Hilson featuring Kanye West & Ne-Yo - "Knock You Down" Keri Hilson, Keyshia Cole, & Trina - "Get Your Money Up"
Plus, I guess Kanye West could be nominated here as well, if he chooses to call his "auto-tune" performance a "vocal performance."
Rap Song ----------------- "Dead and Gone" (T.I. featuring Justin Timberlake) "Right Round" (Flo Rida) "Day 'n' Nite" (Kid Cudi) "Heartless" (Kanye West) "Kiss Me Thru The Phone" (Soulja Boy Tell'Em featuring Sammie)
Rap Album ------------------ NO ONE DESERVES TO BE HERE AS OF RIGHT NOW, haha. The only exception will be Kanye's 808 and Heartbreaks, if submitted here. I have a feeling that while some singles will be pushed as "rap songs", he will probably push the album as being "pop". We'll see.
Also, where will Lil Wayne's "The Rebirth" contend? In the rock categories??? I'm sure somehow he might end up in the rap field.
For Your Grammy Consideration: Kanye West for "Heartless" and 808's & Heartbreak Adele for "Hometown Glory" Taylor Swift for "You Belong With Me" & Fearless Maxwell for "Pretty Wings" & BLACKsummer'snight Kings of Leon for "Use Somebody" The Cast of GLEE for "Don't Stop Believin' " Mariah Carey for "Obsessed"
The-Dream & Mariah Carey are not going to Best Rap/Sung Collaboration. There's no rapping on that song. "My Love" will probably be submitted to Best R&B Performance By a Duo or Group where it's supposed to be.
Kid CuDi is becoming popular now. I think he's a strong possible for Best Rap Solo Performance and he might have a chance to break into Best New Artist if the Blue Ribbon Panel wants to throw in a rap artist this year. It all depends on his success in the upcoming months.

Whoops! That's right, haha. I got carried away with The-Dream love. The album is fiyah!
Sidenote: Hopefully we get some STRONGER contenders for the Rap Field later on in the year! We'll see if Dr. Dre's Detox comes out. I think I'll pass on the two new albums each by 50 and Eminem though...unless they're the absolute best hip-hop albums ever...I don't care to listen to a single new recording by either artist. I'm willing to give second chances though, so we'll see what they come up with.

The rap field is the weakest I have ever seen it. Someone better step up with something soon. Seeing Flo Rida, Mims, and Soulja Boy, among others, in contention for these nominations is cringe-worthy.
