Let's play this it's really fun I did it with friends yesterday when we were talking about how great she is and how she can just sing anything and still win awards for it lol but I'll start.
Alicia Keys can sing a song about breathing and still win a Grammy!
I think there are some objectionable wins for several artists. I guess it's just personal preference. I would have given Best R&B Album to India.Arie in 2001, since she was nominated for Album of the Year, or Aaliyah because her album was actually the best out of the other nominees. Then you have Fantasia's lost to Alicia, which alot of people debated. "No One" was #1 for weeks, and was still in the top five the week of the Grammys, which probably resulted in her win. I think it's good timing in most wins. Your record company has to know how to release singles and albums at the right time.

Best R&B Female for Fallin' should have gone to A Long Walk by Jill Scott.
Best R&B Album should have gone to India.Arie's Acoustic Soul.
R&B Song song for Fallin' should have gone to Brian McKnight's Love Of My Life.
I disagree about R+B Female and R+B Song. She definitley deserved to win those 2 .The only one that she recieved that year that I would take away is Best R+B Album and that should have gone to India Arie!

I disagree about R&B Female. And I'm a huge Jill Scott fan ("A Long Walk" is my favorite song of hers.).
I'm a big Brian McKnight fan too, but I would've been fine as long as the award that year went to India.Arie, Alicia, or McKnight. Thankfully, it went to one of those three so I have no gripes. I do think that he should've won R&B Male for "Love Of My Life" over Usher though. I'm a huge Usher fan too, but I don't think he deserved it over McKnight that year.
I agree about R&B Album, only I think Aaliyah should've won, not India.Arie.
The more I think about it, the only Grammy I would've given India.Arie that year was AOTY for Acoustic Soul.

I disagree. Usher totally deserved his Best Male R&B Vocal Performance Grammy over Brian McKnight that year. "Love Of My Life" was one of McKnight's weaker songs. Now I'd be all for a Brian McKnight win in 1998 for "The Only One For Me."
It's a shame Aaliyah didn't win Best R&B Album in 2001 for her brilliant work.

I think Usher deserved his win for "U Remind Me".Great Vocals.

I agree with you 100%. Usher didn't deserve Best Male R&B Vocal Performance for "U Remind Me", especially over Case's "Missing You", Musiq's "Love", Maxwell's "Lifetime", nor Brian McKnight's "Love of My Life". He had the WEAKEST vocals that year. He definitely didn't deserve his win for "U Don't Have To Call" in 2003. The only Grammys I think he deserved were the three he won in 2005.

Alicia Keys can sing about hemorrhoids and still win a Grammy for it.
Emmys FYC: Lead Actress Comedy Please view the actual tape submissions and reward for quality...
...Not because of buzz ...Not because the nominee has 3 other Emmy noms ...Not 'cause the nominee is a writer so this would be great after the writer's strike ...Not because the nominee starred in a movie this spring.
Please view the actual tape and reward for QUALITY.
