I thought he deserved his own topic. The album is smoking hot. He outdid himself on this album. I think this or Keri Hilson should win Best Contemporary R&B Album (giving Traditional to Maxwell of course).
Ready is his third studio album and its in store now. It features the lead single "I Need a Girl" and the second single "LOL :-)" with guest appearances from Gucci Mane & Soulja Boy Tell 'Em. Other appearances include Drake on two tracks and Fabolous on this 17 track disc.
Track listing: 01 Panty Droppa (Intro) 02 Neighbors Know My Name 03 I Invented Sex (featuring Drake) 04 I Need a Girl 05 One Love 06 Does He Do It 07 Say Aah (featuring Fabolous) 08 LOL :-) (featuring Gucci Mane & Soulja Boy Tell 'Em) 09 Ready to Make Luv 10 Jupiter Love 11 Be Where You Are 12 Successful (featuring Drake) 13 Black Roses 14 Love Lost 15 Hollalude 16 Holla If Ya Need Me 17 Yo Side of the Bed

I love Trey Songz and definitely think he's the next biggest thing in contemporary R&B music!!! He's slowly built up a name for himself by constantly giving up addictive singles, despite lack of major promotion. I'm still enjoying all 3 of his singles as well as the new one "Invented Sex" featuring Drake. I was lucky enough to see him perform for free in Atlanta and he has an unbelieveable and natural singing voice. Hits Daily Double is predicting for his new album to sell 110,000 - 120,000 copies in its first full week out. That's pretty darn good for an artist that isn't much known outside of the urban market! I've only been able to listen to the first half of his album so far, but from what I've heard, he definitely has a hot record on his hands. And yes DCurrie, he's looking to steal the title of Lil'Freak from R.Kelly with this one! haha
For Your Grammy Consideration: Kanye West for "Heartless" and 808's & Heartbreak Adele for "Hometown Glory" Taylor Swift for "You Belong With Me" & Fearless Maxwell for "Pretty Wings" & BLACKsummer'snight Kings of Leon for "Use Somebody" The Cast of GLEE for "Don't Stop Believin' " Mariah Carey for "Obsessed"
I Love Trey Songz. His album is incredible. At first I didnt like him too much because I thought he was so arrogant but he won me over as a fan with his second album.
Glad to see this Album debut with higher numbers than his previous albums!
Trey Songz is looking SO freakin' good in his recent pics I saw on another website. I don't give a damn about his music, but he is so fine. The things I would do to him.
This album is one of the best R&B albums of the year next to whitney and Maxwell. I think he will get two grammy nods this year. Best Male R&B Vocal and Best Contemporary R&B Album.

I want "Be Where You Are" or "Love Lost" or "Does He Do It" to be the next single or all of them to be singles.

Yes, I love "Yo Side of the Bed", the "Purple Rain" sample is so hot. I can see "Say Aah" being a single too. This man has many singles potential, for real.

Yeah I agree. Trey really outdid himself on this album. Any of the songs on there could be singles. I think he wanted to go for more of a mainstream sound on this album!

Actually, I thought this album would be more in vein like "I Need a Girl" which is his most poppy song to date, but I am happy he stayed true to his R&B root with this album.

I couldn't help it, D. His body is looking so good.
I'm not sure if Trey will be able to get any Grammy nominations this time around. If he does, he'll either get into Best Male R&B Vocal Performance or Best Contemporary R&B Album...not both.
