Blender Magazine on Kelly Clarkson: " The Texas native has one of the great voices in pop music, a powerful and versatile instrument that’s steeped in the rhythm and blues and country music she grew up with in the South. If Mariah Carey’s five-octave voice is the equivalent of an expensively bred poodle, then Clarkson’s is a bloodhound: friendly, earthy, but fierce just the same."
Baltimore Examiner (concert review): "Her sultry voice is absolutely flawless. The tone and range floors you. When she belts out a note, it's precise yet powerful."
"Music is powerful, it's a drug that makes your inhibitions go away and leaves your vulnerabilities exposed" - KC
A very good interview to start this new thread with. It's from ET Canada. There is NO DIVA in this girl whats so ever. Just someone who wants to make music, and stay as far from the limelight as possible. It was from last week when she was in Canada for the MMVA's show.
haha, she also has good mentions about Lady Gaga, and Beyonce
.

Pulling this from the other thread. I just posted it and then saw this thread, sorry restless!
...
I'm obviously being predictable, but I completely concur that Kelly deserved to win season 1...absolutely. To be honest, until this I've heard very, VERY little debate over the last 7 years as to whether she deserved to win. The true, general consensus is that she was a deserved winner.
And you can't dispute that she paved that Idol road with gold for those that followed. At least (most) of the ones that followed are happy to give her props for being the first. I know that AI is whatever in a lot of people's minds, but I think it is breeding a new, kinder pop star. The type that truly appreciates his/her fans and their success.
There are a few exceptions, but I think most of the winners (and by winners I mean those that actually won and those that have found success even if they didn't win) from Idol seem genuinely nice and thrilled to be working, frankly.
Bumping because Chris has a hard time looking only 4 threads down the page. I know, it's rough using the scroll bar isn't it?

Bumping this thread (again) for those that can't find it. Also, Chris, you are the one that said you didn't want to hear about people saying Kelly deserved to win Idol. So, maybe you're the one being ridiculous by asking people to limit/screen what they post. I don't think we are that sensitive. Frankly, I don't care what you think. However, as a KC fan, when I read something I disagree with, I'd like to respond. And I will continue to do so. Alright? Alright.

Thank you, dear. It is indeed hard to do that.
.... Even if you are a million miles away, I can still feel you in my bed, near me, touch me, feel me and even at the bottom of the sea, I can still hear you inside my head, telling me, touch me, feel me, and all the time you were telling me lies

I don't remember writing that unless you read that in your head while reading my post. Hmmm...

It is now showing her present sales, the interest isn't there (all the excuses can be left at the front door because I do not want to read them). No winners should have to thank her because she did not pave the way for them, American Idol, the show, did. She was just a brand of their, that's all.

I'm glad that you are flatter (I have never used this word).
Again, you all misinterpreted my words. I did not stated anything about. The typical Kelly Clarkson always love to jump to conclusion as why "My December" and "All I Ever Wanted" aren't successful due to label and etc. I was talking about her lacking success she's experiencing.
But anyway, I'm done with converstaion. I actually like Kelly.

I have no idea how to even respond to this jumbled mess of a post.

The KC Express has some embedded links...not sure if I can pull them here...I'll see if I can. "If" is great, but I'm mostly in awe of the fact that nearly every song has a brand new arrangement.
And I love that KC had a DJ with her. The songs I heard definitely had a dancey, edginess to them. Very refreshing and very cool.
