Would love to see Coldplay get in for "Lovers In Japan". But - correct me if I'm wrong - don't the Grammy rules state that if you've won Rock Album the year before, tracks from that album cannot be nominated in any other category other than in ROTY and/or SOTY? Wasn't that the reason Green Day could not get nommed for Rock Group Vocal and Rock Song for Boulevard of Broken Dreams when they had won ROTY the year after American Idiot won Best Rock Album?
If that rule holds, then Coldplay should submit "Life In Technicolour ii" from Prospekt's March - could be Pop or Rock.
yes,you are correct coldplay can't get nominated with any material from viva la vida just from material from prospekts march
aww, I thought it only applies to pop albums. Oh well, there's the Lover in japan remix on Prospekt March Ep and of course Life in Technicolor 2 for pop performance, and short form video.
does the same rules apply to the videos as well ? cuz I would love to see strawberry swing video get nominated in short form video.

Blender Magazine on Kelly Clarkson: " The Texas native has one of the great voices in pop music, a powerful and versatile instrument that’s steeped in the rhythm and blues and country music she grew up with in the South. If Mariah Carey’s five-octave voice is the equivalent of an expensively bred poodle, then Clarkson’s is a bloodhound: friendly, earthy, but fierce just the same."
Baltimore Examiner (concert review): "Her sultry voice is absolutely flawless. The tone and range floors you. When she belts out a note, it's precise yet powerful."
"Music is powerful, it's a drug that makes your inhibitions go away and leaves your vulnerabilities exposed" - KC
