Is that cause she won Pop Vocal Album?
Yes.
Another possible option for Female Pop Vocal is Leona Lewis' "Run". Leona laid down an amazing vocal for this track. Hopefully it gets released soon.
uh...when was the new rule that said if you win best pop album, you're ineligible? john mayer won best pop vocal album but he was nominated again the next year.
and christina aguilara got a nod for pop album and got another nod for best pop performance.
If an album wins a Grammy, then all tracks on that album is ineligible for a Grammy, with the exception of ROTY and Short Form Music Video.

Liking these!
I hope The All-American Rejects can get nominated at least next year.
I concur. Are the All American Rejects eligible for Best New Artist? I don't think they've ever been nominated before.

I don't know, but that would be a biiig stretch lol. "Swing, Swing" came out like 6 years ago. I'd say just Pop Group. Maybe they'll get a Hoobastank/Plain White T's style SOTY nod as well.

Yea i kind of figured that it'd be a stretch, esp since their last album sold so much. I'm really hoping that thay can pull off some nominations this year though. Although I don't think their latest album is as good as Move Along, it's still very good.

Actually, she is eligible for a couple songs that were featured on "the deluxe edition" of Rockferry, which was released in November, including her recent British hit "Rain On Your Parade."
For Your Grammy Consideration: Kanye West for "Heartless" and 808's & Heartbreak Adele for "Hometown Glory" Taylor Swift for "You Belong With Me" & Fearless Maxwell for "Pretty Wings" & BLACKsummer'snight Kings of Leon for "Use Somebody" The Cast of GLEE for "Don't Stop Believin' " Mariah Carey for "Obsessed"
Vanessa Williams new album "The Real Thing" comes out on June 4th. I'm not sure if she will go pop or r&b, sometimes in years past she went both. I hope that she finally wins a Grammy! Does anyone think she has a chance of a nomination?
For Your Grammy Consideration: Kristin Chenoweth - in all eligible categories

I agree that Vanessa L. Williams is over-due for a Grammy. I think her best bet is to submit some of her songs to Best Traditional R&B Vocal Performance. That category is designed for artists like her.
Right now, I think Kelly has to be the front runner for Pop Album and Pop Female (of course, that's what I'd like to happen too). However, I'm wondering who else will be her competition for Pop Female aside from Pink that could spoil her... I think Lady Gaga and Britney could both get in but wouldnt win... Other possibilities: Katy Perry, Leona Lewis, Adele, and maybe if they push Taylor Swift in pop for one of her singles...
however, after lookin' at that list, I'd say the only potential spoiler to Kelly would be Pink (who I love too by the way)
I doubt Kelly has a chance at winning her second Pop Vocal for MLWSWY. I hope she'll get nominated for Cry therefore she can easily be the frontrunner. In order to make it happen she'll have to give up on MLWSWY in this category since they always nominate the bigger hit when an artist has a number of eligible songs submitted in this category.
Right now I think Pink is like Kate Winslet in this category. Who cares if Hathaway or Leo gave more deserving performance, it's time for her to stop losing!
Don't get me wrong, I think Pink will make a well deserved winner.
What do you all think of Britney's chances in Pop?
I would love to see her win at least one Grammy in the Pop Field. I think "Circus" is currently a contender for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance and her album is a contender for Best Pop Vocal Album. I would love to see her win the latter, even over Kelly Clarkson.

I think Katy Perry will have a better chance now since she's releasing "Waking Up in Vegas" as her next single, since its more similar to "Kissed a Girl" than "Thinking of You" is. But who knows, maybe the Grammy's will prefer the more serious song?

Britney and vocal performance grammys just seems very wrong. *Pop Female - As of now, Pink and Kelly seem to be the top contenders. *Pop Male - I have no clue, maybe John Mayer again haha? Im sure they can find a track off some live album or something. I'd love for Ray Lamontagne to get some love though. *Pop Album - Pink, Kelly, Ray L, AAR
