Does anyone think Kristin Chenoweth has a chance of getting nominated for a Grammy this year?
Her Christmas Album, "A Lovely Way to Spend Christmas" did very well. I just am not sure if she would go Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album or into the Gospel categories, since there are several religious type Christmas songs on it, plus there is a bonus track with her reading The Lord's Prayer.
I believe she will also be eligible for Best Spoken Word Album for reading her biography "A Little Bit Wicked". I'm not sure if she will get into this though, since there are normally very famous people who have recorded an audio book.
So does anyone think she has a chance of a nomination? Or know what categories she will be eligible for?

She probably has a shot... I mean, if Tia Carrere could be a Grammy nominee/winner, Kristin Chenoweth definitely has a shot, especially if she releases some 'specialty'-genre CD (like Hawaiian, Polka, etc.) for which there aren't that many entries. She also has a shot in the Spoken Word field, but it's much harder for her, I think, since normally the biggest names (politicians, authors, A-List actors) are the ones who dominate that category.

Kristin Chenoweth is a Tony Award-winning Actress. She starred in the Broadway musicals "You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown" and was the original "Glinda" in "Wicked". She has also been Emmy nominated the last two years for the show "Pushing Daisies". Last October, she released her 3rd studio album, "A Lovely Way to Spend Christmas". So it will be eligible for the upcoming Grammy awards.

Congrats to her tonight! She won the Primetime Emmy for "Best Supporting Actress-Comedy". She was so cute up on the stage! I loved her character of Violet. Too bad the show is no more!
I hope she has a shot and then wins because then she will be apart of the TRIPLE CROWN (Tony, Emmy, and then Grammy) and then she can focus on that Oscar!

The fact that she's on fire right now will certainly help her chances. I really hope she wins a Grammy. Then, all she'll need is that Oscar to complete her collection!
