I'm sorry but that sh!t just sold 1.5 million copies in its debut week. He could sell 1 copy the next week, I'm sure he and his label will be happy anyways.

Those numbers are unbelieveable, especially in this day and age of the music industry. I'm not real familiar with his music, what really drove this huge number? does he have a huge single? Was it a lot of buzz? I don't want to sound ignorant, but, I just don't follow rap music, and I'm curious.
My congrats go out to him

Blender Magazine on Kelly Clarkson: " The Texas native has one of the great voices in pop music, a powerful and versatile instrument that’s steeped in the rhythm and blues and country music she grew up with in the South. If Mariah Carey’s five-octave voice is the equivalent of an expensively bred poodle, then Clarkson’s is a bloodhound: friendly, earthy, but fierce just the same."

His single "Lollipop" has been #1 for many weeks now.

Atleast a 60% drop.
I think more. But I'm interested to see. I'm not an especially big fan of the guy, and I haven't even heard the album, but for the sake of the music industry, I'm rooting for a strong second week.

The top three slots on The Billboard 200 remain static this week, as Coldplay's "Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends" starts a second week at No. 1. The Capitol effort moved 249,000 U.S. copies, according to Nielsen Soundscan, a 66% drop from its 721,000 start.
Lil Wayne's Cash Money/Universal set "Tha Carter III" sticks to No. 2 with 209,000 (-32%) as the Jonas Brothers-led soundtrack to Disney's "Camp Rock" stays at No. 3 with 169,000 (-10%).
Motley Crue's "Saints of Los Angeles" (Masters 2008/Motley) debuts at No. 4 with 99,000 copies. The band's best album chart feat came with 1989's "Dr. Feelgood," which reached No. 1.
After experiencing a number of release date shifts, Three 6 Mafia's Hypnotize Minds/Columbia album "Last 2 Walk" finally strides onto the chart at No. 5 with 77,000. The Academy Award-winning rap duo's last album, "Most Known Unknown," peaked at No. 3.
The multi-label "Now 28" compilation slides 4-6 with 66,000 (-19%), while Usher's LaFace/Zomba set "Here I Stand" descends 6-7 with a 21% sales decrease to 52,000.
Rock act Shinedown's third effort for Atlantic, "The Sound of Madness," starts at No. 8 with 50,000, the band's best charting album yet. The group's 2004 debut "Leave a Whisper" topped the Heatseekers tally that year and peaked at No. 53 on the big chart, while 2005's "Us and Them" had a No. 23 start.
Disturbed's Warner Bros. album "Indestructible" declines 8-9 with 50,000 (-16%) while Rihanna's "Good Girl Gone Bad" (SRP/Def Jam) slips 7-10 with 47,000, a 26% sales hit.
Sigur Ros enjoys its best showing on The Billboard 200 this week with "Med Sud I Eyrum Vid Splium Endalaust" (XL), which bows at No. 15 with 32,000. "Takk" was their previous best, peaking at No. 27 in 2005.
Other debuts this week include Cute I What We Aim For's "Rotation" at No. 21 (Fueled by Ramen, 23,000), Amos Lee's Blue Note set "Last Days at the Lodge" at No. 29 (16,000) and Dwele's "...Sketches of a Man" at No. 35 (Koch, 14,000).
Album sales are down 7.66% from last week's sum at 7.6 million units, and are down 13.2% compared to the same week last year.
