I think Leona is a lock for nominations in Female Pop Vocal for "Bleeding Love" and Best New Artist.
I think she'll receive more nominations than those 2 but those are the two definite locks I foresee at this time.
I agree.
Female Pop Vocal and Best New Artist seem to be a lock up nomination.
I strongly believe she'll be nominated for Record of the Year and Song of the Year as well for "Bleeding Love". Just look how big this song currently is and the scary thing is it isn't even near its peak yet.
I agree with that. I know there's debate on whether she compares/should be compared to Mariah, but I think as far as awards go she'll have similar Grammy success with "Bleeding Love" as Mariah did with "Vision of Love", and she'll probably win the same categories Mariah did in 1990.
Which was Best New Artist and Best Female Pop Vocal right?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure.

This is the best rendition I've heard of Whitney's "I Have Nothing". Leona blows me away, it's so good. I kinda wish she covered this song and had it recorded in the studio.

Bleeding Love becomes the first song to sell more than 200k in 4 separate weeks in the digital era. Recent weekly sales:
The confirmed sales should be more than enough to see Bleeding Love take #1 on the Hot 100 for the third time, matching the only song to have previously achieved this feat in chart history, Chic's "Le Freak" in 1978/79.

Wow, I never expected her to take off like this. So impressive! And she totally deserves it.
Anyone know what's happening with a 2nd single? I can't find anything showing up on mediabase, and with BL dropping in spins, you'd think a 2nd song would be out by now.
Blender Magazine on Kelly Clarkson: " The Texas native has one of the great voices in pop music, a powerful and versatile instrument that’s steeped in the rhythm and blues and country music she grew up with in the South. If Mariah Carey’s five-octave voice is the equivalent of an expensively bred poodle, then Clarkson’s is a bloodhound: friendly, earthy, but fierce just the same."

One of my local radio stations is playing "Better In Time" and announcing it as her 2nd single.

oh, thanks. Seems like a slow start then, cause like i said, i can't find it on mediabase charts yet.

Well it would be under the Canadian Radio airplay charts on Mediabase.

I understand you're from Canada, and it's on your chart, but, my point is, if it's the 2nd single, I wonder why American radio hasn't started playing it yet? After all, BL is dropping spins, so, you would "think" this 2nd song would be on the move up, but, it's not. I don't think it's as good as BL, so, I wonder if it'll get the same reception as BL did.

Yeah my local radio station mentioned that Forgive Me was the next single but it could be wrong since Better in time was played a few weeks ago in the "hot or not" section for new songs. I really love Better in time but can wait for it to be the 3rd or 4th single.
I really like the changes they did to both "Better In Time" and "Footprints In The Sand" on the CD Single...there's another track titled "You Bring Me Down" there too but that one I didn't care for much...still very good to see Leona having success!!

She might do good to have a more up-tempo follow-up single. Even though "Bleeding Love" wasn't really a standard ballad, somehow it still kind of seems like one, so she should try and expand her image before she gets pigeon-holed.
