"Better in Time"'s an underwhelming track compared to "Bleeding Love". It shouldn't have been the follow-up single when a more uptempo number could have been used instead, though many choices would have disappointed after the success of "Bleeding Love". For the third single, I hope that she goes with something like "Forgive Me" or "Misses Glass" to show some range. After that, cap off the album with "Angel" or "Take a Bow". As for the Best New Artist talk, she's still in the driver's seat to win. There's always a frontrunner bias waiting around the corner for someone to upstage her, but she should be good if she can get a strong follow-up to "Bleeding Love", and even better to have that happen during the voting periods.

I agree. When I first heard and seen the video to "Better In Time," I wasn't impressed. An uptempo track would be to Leona's benefit at this point. How is her album? I've heard mixed reviews on it.

It's middle-of-the-road weak. Every song is alright on its own, but put them all together as an album and it becomes sleep-inducing. It sounds very produced, not in terms of Leona's voice, but just in terms of the cookie cutter flavour to all the songs. None of the songs are as good as "Bleeding Love".

It's not a bad album. There's some great songs on there, but there's some non-descript kind of material throughout too. It's like an "Idol" debut album, for better or worse depending on how you like those albums. She sings the songs impeccably well though, which is a positive for an album like this. I'd be fine with it being nominated in Pop Vocal Album.

Bleeding Love is a worldwide phenom, it's a bit naive to think that anyone is going to have an album filled with equal material.
There are at least 2 more tracks on the album that IMO are of near equal quality. They are "Yesterday" and "I will be", either of these 2 would be WW #1's.
"Yesterday" is on youtube as an audio track and has nearly 3 million hits.
In any case "Forgive me" IS the next single, the video is already shot and it's up on UK Amazon as a future release.
The video features Jabawokeezs from Americas top dance crew and STEP UP 2, so expect some top dance choreography.

She should of released "Take A Bow" It's the best song of the album production wise for me. It's a bit more up-tempo than the rest of the songs. If she wants to release "Yesterday" (Wich is my second favorite song of the album) she should do it during the late fall/winter season. (I'm thinking of submitting "Yesterday" as our graduation song)

It has nothing to do with the fact that BL was a phenom. I'm just talking about the song quality itself. It's a great song...and not a single song on the album that is on its level. So if I should expect that an artist that is going to give me an album of solid material instead of just one great song, then sure, call me naive. I'll go listen to Sheryl Crow, Alicia Keys, Nelly Furtado, Fergie...and other pop female artists.

Wow. Leona & co. are picking the WORST choices for follow-up singles. "Better In Time" and "Forgive Me" are TERRIBLE single choices. I don't see either of those songs doing much on the charts.
"I Will Be," "I'm You," "Misses Glasses," "Yesterday" and especially "Angel" are much more radio friendly.

"Misses Glass" is the worst song on the CD. I hope that it never gets released.
While I like some other songs on the album better (hello, "I Will Be"), I do think "Better in Time" is a perfect single for America... it's very reminiscent of Alicia Keyes and has hit written all over it. Chalk up another smash for Leona.
Airplay trends for "Better In Time" for Pop radio. 5 straight days of over +100 spin gains each day. It's smashing up the chart. And that bullet is very strong.
