2009 Nominees Coldplay — "Viva la Vida" Fall Out Boy — "I Don't Care" Green Day — "21 Guns" Kings of Leon — "Use Somebody" Paramore — "Decode"
Kings of Leon are red-hot right now, so that might give them an edge for the win, but I'd agree that the "Twilight" connection with Paramore's song gives them frontrunner status. I liked the video to "21 Guns" a lot, so a win there for Green Day would be deserved. I didn't really like the main version of "Viva La Vida", and I haven't heard "I Don't Care" from Fall Out Boy. Coldplay should have won here by now. I'll go with Paramore for the win, but be rooting for Kings of Leon for "Use Somebody".
Congratulations, Primetime Emmy Winners!

I was so excited about Coldplay or Green Day getting a win in this category until someone reminded me that the Paramore song is from "Twilight" (most hilarious movie I've ever seen). I fear, then, that the tweens who like "Twilight" will give this award which was once given to great bands like Aerosmith, Metallica, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, and Korn to them. Hopefully, though, Coldplay, Green Day, or Kings of Leon will pull off an upset and get the win.
WILL WIN (sadly): Paramore, "Decode" SHOULD WIN: Coldplay, "Viva la Vida" OTHER WINS I REALLY WOULDN'T MIND: Green Day, "21 Guns" or Kings of Leon, "Use Somebody"

Still, isn't that what rock 'n roll is all about??? Performing for an audience? I mean, it's harder to make rock videos that don't heavily involve the band playing, as that's what the band members do: They're musicians, not actors. It's possible to make great rock videos that don't focus on the performance (i.e., My Chemical Romance's "Helena"), but there's nothing wrong with that, IMO.

I guess but they could be ALOT more creative even if it's hard. You see how Beyonce came up with a concept for "Single Ladies" and the video really didn't have that much to do with the song!
