I'm sure I'm not the only one who's noticed the deterioration of the Grammy forum at GoldDerby over the past year, especially the last 3-4 months.
I come to these boards and see people getting personally attacked for stating their opinions. I would have to scroll through countless pages of back and forth mud slinging until I got to the next post that actually went back on the threads topic of choice. I admit sometimes its kinda funny but its kind of getting ridiculous now.
What the hell is up with this?
For example, you have members going into the Mariah Carey thread saying that they don't like that new song she has with the Dream and then everything goes ape shiit in there. The same goes for some of the Beyonce fans.
This isn't a specific artists' fansite.
Then you have those members that badly cuss off or dig even deeper and personally attack any member who doesn't agree or rebuts their stance if a debate is going on. I then ask why those individuals are on a public forum if they can't handle other people's opinions and them questioning theirs? There's a way to go about disagreeing with someone without the low ball attacks on them.
And now we have the drama going on in the "Flash In The Pan" Thread. What the HELL!!! This board has gone insane.
How is this amount disrespect and attacking still going on? No other online board I know of would tolerate any of this petty crap going on over here. I'm personally getting sick of all the shiit going down here at GoldDerby. Something has to be done.
Do most of you agree? Voice your opinions here on how to improve these boards.
Well I do agree and I apologize for all the things I said. But people need to have some respect,you cant go in the Beyonce threads and make negative comments about her.Her fans are NOT gonna have it.If you dont like a certain artists theres a better way to say it than saying " So and So is a worthless piece of trash". That will only cause disharmony.If people cant learn to express their opinions in a mature,and respectful manner then they need to stay out of the artists threads!
I agree with everything you said, except the part about other boards not allowing petty drama. I've been to several, and some of them is far worse than this one, but that's a whole different story. LoL
But I do agree. Sometimes it's funny, but now it's getting a bit out of control. I think everyone participates in a huge debate from time to time, but it's been a battle zone lately. I've been involved in a few, but not to the point where vulgarity is being thrown around. I hope people really don't take this board that seriously.

It's mind boggling how upset some posters get when their favorites get "dissed."
I don't get upset when syrus80 makes subliminal, snide remarks about MJB. I just take it and move on. He doesn't have to like her; that's his opinion. And it's not as if his opinion affects mine in any way. I will continue to adore Mary, regardless.

I'm not trying to personally attack you Class but lately you've been a whole lot of drama and hostile towards a lot of posters. What's wrong? Why are you snapping at people for? Some posters might not agree with you but I say that 95% of them have reason to disagree and post their reasoning. It's not like they always post "Ashanti is a piece of shiit worthless talent". They normally post reasoning to why they do not like her music and why she isn't relevant anymore. Why do you honestly give a damn what people think of Ashanti? You can't force people to like her.

Be and I also had a huge argument when I registered here. Since then, we've became e-cool. I'm surprised that he didn't get all hyped when everyone was jumping on him about the Rihanna/Chris Brown situation. While everyone was calling him an "insensitive idiot," he kept on responding like he wasn't offended. LoL

But to be fair, there are several folks who go in threads just to say something negative and get a rise out of other posters. They say stuff because they know a certain poster will respond. That's immature as well.

Yea, Pucifer is an idiot. I remember E-lie used to always go in threads to get a rise out of Mr. Talented. There are several posters who do that a lot.

How often does GoldDerby get trolls? There's not a lot of these boards. Most of our contributing members are regulars here posting everyday. The ones that choose to stay here actually contribute to these boards in a more meaningful matter with their posts. Trolls are found on a lot of message boards. I haven't seen as many on this one though besides some regulars who are big drama queens sometimes.
My advice: Just Ignore the Trolls. It's their mission to get your panties in a knot...lol
