Gucci, I was thinking that. But I was so against that "Gold Digger" win in that category. It should have been submitted to Best Rap/Sung Collaboration, where it should have won.
I wouldn't be surprised if Lil Wayne's record label goes that route.
Rap Solo Performance: Jay-Z, "Roc Boys (And the Winner Is)"

If Nas does release a good album, then I will be rooting for him. I'm a Lil Wayne fan, but I think Nas is overdue for a Grammy Award. Lil Wayne will probably take home another award. I want to see both go home with at least one a piece.

I'd like to see Lil' Wayne release another successful, simply because I know it's inevitable that he gets a ton of Grammy nominations, and to get them for a song like "Lollipop" would be ridiculous. Fun and entertaining? Yes. Grammy-worthy? Not exactly.
BEST RAP ALBUM Snoop Dogg - "Ego Trippin" Jay-Z - "American Gangster" Lil Wayne - "Tha Carter III" Lupe Fiasco - "The Cool" Nas - "Nas" Nelly - "Brass Knuckles" The Roots - "Rising Down" T.I. - "Paper Trail"
Any other Rap albums worth mentioning?
Young Jeezy? LL Cool J?

I dont think"Lollipop" will win over "Love In This Club".Usher is more of a Grammy Favorite than Lil Wayne.I also think that Weezy will dow what Kanye did in 2006 with Goldigger.Submit "Lollipop" to Rap Solo Performance where he has a better chance at winning!

True...Usher is a Grammy favorite. But I have feeling that Lil Wayne might pull a Grammy sweep in this category. I mean, he is the most popular rapper out right now. And his album is really good. I think that he might win some awards just because of his hype and stuff, but overall he deserves some wins. And I think that he might actually pull a sweep.
Nas' album will be out tomorrow. It's actually a great album, and IMO, it's better than Lil Wayne's album, which is also a solid album.
Will Nas or Lil Wayne be the frontrunner? I think Lil Wayne will have better overall sales, but more Hip Hop gurus are praising Nas' CD.
I do see Lil Wayne winning Best Rap Performance by A Duo/Group for "Mr. Carter" with Jay-Z. IMO, that is the only frontrunner in that category. I think Nas may finally win a Grammy this year.
Has anyone heard Nas' album? Is it just me?
