I haven't really been following music vids too closely lately, but what would you guys say are the best music videos out right now (for current songs)?
I know the Kanye one is pretty good (for "Flashing Lights"). And Erykah Badu's "Honey."

This song isn't as strong or engaging like "Same Mistake" or "1973" was, and it's a bit surprising that it's a new single now. It won't do him any real favors, but the video is a strong one. It's done in all black and white, and the story behind it has Blunt as a messenger "carrying home" the last effects of a dead soldier to his lost love. The locales are beautiful to look at throughout the video though, and it's unlike anything he's done for one of his songs.

like i said awhile back, one-hit wonder. they keep churning out videos for him, but nothing has stuck. glad he didn't win new artist. poor guy, he really makes some nice songs.
I love these types of videos. It's artistic (it features the art of Chris Jordan), but it's also making a statement, which I don't usually expect from artists, but it's nice when they do. It's an impact video with only one viewing. And the song is a great soundtrack to the larger message, I suppose.

The first half of the video is garbage. But the second half (with the black and white seizure-inducing patterns) is pretty good. I can do without Justin Timberlake cameo, but it doesn't hurt the video. The song itself doesn't really do it for me.

Okay, so the video itself is pretty interesting. I like the moody, sort of sensual darkness, hazy, and all those interesting effects, but what on Earth does this video have to do with the song? It's like a complete mismtach. The song is cute and this video is not.

This is probably the best video I've seen in a while. It has everything: a story, emotions, intrigue, drama, catastrophe, and a lil bit of comedy at the end. I loved the way it ended, really well-done. Well put together and creative. Kudos to KT.

She really outdid herself this time.I would have to say this is one of the best videos of the year(CONCEPTUALLY,anyway)

I agree. She put a lot of effort into this video and the outcome is pretty solid. On a side note, I always thought Ashanti looked like one of my cousins, and now her bf or whatever in this video looks like my brother, so seeing the two in intimate exchanges here and there in the video was mildly nauseating lol but that's not her fault. The video is good.

I think this is a pretty funny video. Mariah plays up her image and shows her great sense of humor. Jack McBrayer's addition is a stroke of genius -- a strong selling point for the video that has garnered it a lot of attention, and he does a good job playing the nerdy computer guy with these lame but very funny fantasies of him and Mariah. I enjoy it.

He's not a one-hit wonder jenglisbe. You were wrong then, and you're still wrong now. He's charted with more than one song.
