like i said awhile back, one-hit wonder. they keep churning out videos for him, but nothing has stuck. glad he didn't win new artist. poor guy, he really makes some nice songs.
He's not a one-hit wonder jenglisbe. You were wrong then, and you're still wrong now. He's charted with more than one song.
He definitly is, at least in America. "Beautiful" was everywhere, and his new stuff hasn't made a dent anywhere other than VH1.
Not that there's a damn thing wrong with that. I'm almost positive Feist will be a one hit wonder and she's one of my favorite artists.

He's charted with more than one song here in America, though he hasn't matched or eclipsed the success of "You're Beautiful" here in America, so he's not a one-hit wonder.

Examples please (and I don't mean that to be dickish). Where did "1973" chart, cause that seemed to be his best bet off his new album.

I think it supports my point that he's had a clear chart history, he hasn't fallen off the face of the earth after one charting song, and he's been featured regularly on MTV and VH-1 in video rotation. He hasn't matched or eclipsed his success of "You're Beautiful", that's true, but more has been going on for him since that song, so I don't consider him a one-hit wonder.

Bruce Springsteen, "Girls in Their Summer Clothes"
This is one of my favorite songs off of "Magic", and it's still a sore spot how the album didn't make it into AOTY over some of what did. Still, this video is simple and greatly shot -- Mark Pellington is a frequent collaborator with Bruce Springsteen's videos, and he did a great job with this one. It's just Bruce and his guitar singing on a beach with women of different ages, shapes, and ethnicities featured throughout. He's looking as weathered and iconic as ever. I'm glad that they didn't have the impulse to use celebrities in this and instead went with unknowns for the ladies. It gives the video a kind of authenticity that it might not have had otherwise. I'm glad that he made a video for this song at least.

I think it's a pretty good video. It's sexy and moody. I love the dark room with beams of light from the outside world coming in -- sort of reminded me of Sarah McLachlan's "Building A Mystery" and Korn's "Freak On A Leash" videos. Plus the choreography is good, as always in Janet videos.

The choreography in the video is stunning, and I kinda marvel at how Janet can pull sequences like this off in her videos still so effortlessly. The sets are a bit too claustrophobic, and I wish that the futuristic treatment could have been for this video instead of "Feedback", and vice versa. I don't like her hair, makeup, or costuming here at all -- it makes her look old against all of those younger dancers. Love the song though -- I was hoping for either this or "LUV" to be the next single (and hopefully "LUV" will be the third one). But "strobe lights make everything . . . sexier", Janet? Really? I guess a song like this doesn't need particularly strong lyrics with such a great dance vibe to it, but still. I can see this song getting her into Best Dance Recording.

I'm just seeing this video in full, but I surprisingly dig it. It's definitely a vanity video, but it compliments the song well, and Paula looks excellent all through this (better than I've seen her in a while, even when she's on "Idol"). I'm glad that she's keeping up with the choreography here for the most part -- I thought that would be the biggest causalty to all of her "equilibrium" problems lately. The stop-and-start stills were a nice touch too, though the fab four at the end is kinda silly, and that crazy flower hat she wears during one of the dance numbers. Really solid song though that shows that she has some good work left in her still.
