I like this track...a lot. It's much better than 'I look to you'.
Blender Magazine on Kelly Clarkson: " The Texas native has one of the great voices in pop music, a powerful and versatile instrument that’s steeped in the rhythm and blues and country music she grew up with in the South. If Mariah Carey’s five-octave voice is the equivalent of an expensively bred poodle, then Clarkson’s is a bloodhound: friendly, earthy, but fierce just the same."
Baltimore Examiner (concert review): "Her sultry voice is absolutely flawless. The tone and range floors you. When she belts out a note, it's precise yet powerful."
"Music is powerful, it's a drug that makes your inhibitions go away and leaves your vulnerabilities exposed" - KC
I Look To You Amazon #4 on Album Sales Itunes #5 on Album Sales Itune #83 Songs
I would take a wild guess and say ILTY single will probably sell 20k or so on Itunes. Doesn't seem like her website or Itunes is promoting the new single, it just says pre-order ILTY the album.

And there's no way in hell, Whitney or any artist for that matter will land 10-15 nominations. That's a bit much. I don't think any artist has that much material to submit to all those categories, and Whitney isn't a songwriter. But General Field love isn't out of the question. It depends on if the panel and peers want to honor her.
Agreed. Mattadamsdietmanager is the only one giving all these wild predictions in this thread

Nope, they're calling it a teaser. But she peaked at #51 on iTunes with no video or performance and only support from Urban and UAC. Plus, she gave away free downloads. So, that was expected. It is doing well on Amazon, though.
She shoots the video for "Million Dollar Bill" next week.
Me neither, tae2004. I hope she pulls a "Blame It" and have a bunch of cameos. I don't think Whitney is big on production in her videos, but it would be great to have all of her celebrity friends who support her in the video. She has lots of them! Clive and company need to go all out for this video and the promotion for this song. You think they would based on how they hyped it. A dance scene would be cool, but I can't picture Whitney dancing :P Maybe she can dress up in a leotard and have three backup dancers. LOL
But I just noticed how the album is selling so well before its release date. That's a great sign. With Maxwell selling so well without a huge single and little to no Pop support and Whitney selling so well before her album release based on word of mouth and buzz, it's obvious that you don't need a huge top 40 single or a huge iTunes/ringtone hit to get people talking. I don't know what will happen to "Million Dollar Bill" at Pop radio, but I'm just glad that a lot of people are giving the song positive feedback.
Yea thats the idea I was thinking like Blame It. Then she can have alot of celebrity friends and family with her on the club dance floor two stepping to the song waving dollar bills in the air. LOL

I think she'll have huge first week sales. This cd has been talked about for over a year now, it's been anticipated by a lot of people, and they like a good comeback story. She also has a couple good singles to boot, and it seems the listening party was well received by media and critics.

For some reason I always thought she was the oldest of the '80s divas. Janet was always the youngest because she started out so young, but I thought Whitney was well into her 50s now.
