According to a write up that I found here, the show will take place on November 22nd which is a day earlier than when it was done last year. The nominations were announced on the 14th of October last year, so I am guessing that they will be announced on the 13th of that month this year which is just 2 more weeks away! (smiles)

I pray that a lot of my favorites make it in there for them this year! (smiles)

God bless you and them always!!!

Holly

I have to agree last years show was awful plain and simple! I did not even watch last year. I turned the channel when Mariah Carey was singing the dreadful "Touch My Body".
However, if Whitney Houston is in the mix of nominees an makes and appearance i will watch this year! Hopefully she will sing
"For the lovers" party

Mariah Carey didn't perform "Touch My Body" at the AMAs last year. She performed "I Stay in Love".

For Your Grammy Consideration:
Kristin Chenoweth - in all eligible categories

Expect Beyonce to lead the pack of nominees this year. She will be nominated in both Pop categories and R&B categories.

Blender Magazine on Kelly Clarkson:
" The Texas native has one of the great voices in pop music, a powerful and versatile instrument that’s steeped in the rhythm and blues and country music she grew up with in the South. If Mariah Carey’s five-octave voice is the equivalent of an expensively bred poodle, then Clarkson’s is a bloodhound: friendly, earthy, but fierce just the same."

Baltimore Examiner (concert review):
"Her sultry voice is absolutely flawless. The tone and range floors you. When she belts out a note, it's precise yet powerful."

"Music is powerful, it's a drug that makes your inhibitions go away and leaves your vulnerabilities exposed" - KC

The fans are voting again? How irrelevant has this show become?

Online voting is a FAIL, and they know this. It's going to turn into a fan war. That's why Rihanna, Chris Brown and Justin Timberlake take home multiple awards in multiple fields. That award show is pretty irrelevant now.

I really could care less about the AMA winners and online voting. I'm more interested in the performances.

Why did they stop having annual ceremonies? Were the television ratings that bad?

No, I think it was contract issues with Fox.
