The 3rd single off As i Am will reportedly be: Wreckless Love!!!!
J Records insiders are reporting that a light shuffle and disagreement is going on because executives cant decide on a third single choice.
It is reported that executives have decided on Wreckless Love in January already, but Alicia wants differently. She wants Lesson Learned (that probably is why she collaborated with Mayer last night at the Grammys to prove her point!). J Records doesnt want Lesson Learned. Clive Davis has been keeping mum on the issue. But my friend in New York has informed me Friday that one Urban radio station has already said Wreckless Love is the third single and played the song. And there was also a few requests for the song after that!!!!
Wow!!! I will keep you updated on this
And yes,,,many blogs and forums are reporting the same info! So we will have to wait and see.

I completely agree.
"Wreckless Love" is a killer track and a lot of people's favorite on the album. It's a can't-miss hit and she'll probably get Record/Song noms next year if it is indeed released.
I like "Wreckless Love," though I'm not sure if I am crazy about it as the next single. "Lesson Learned" (feat. John Mayer) wouldn't be a bad choice. It has so much Grammy appeal to it. It could surely win Best Pop Collaboration With Vocals.
I would love "Superwoman" to see the light of day as a single. Her Linda Perry songs are truly gems.
"Teenage Love Affair" would have been my choice for the next single. It has immense commercial appeal in the vein of "You Don't Know My Name". All she needs is a cute video.

But we have to remember who we talking about, Alicia doesn't care about hit singles. She just wants to get her song heard basically. I don't even think she cares about sales anymore really.
I don't care what she releases at the moment. I'm just ready for a new video.
But anyway, this era seems like going by so quickly.

I'm SO glad that they finalized "Wreckless Love" as the 3rd single. In my opinion, it is easily the best track on the album, as well as my favorite. Hopefully they'll submit it to Female Pop Vocal. If it's a big enough hit (which I know it will be), then I think that Alicia can finally see some love outside of the R&B field (as far as genres are concerned). With John Mayer being such a big favorite, I don't think "Lesson Learned" can miss that Grammy nomination for Pop Collaboration.
I can easily see this song landing Alicia ROTY, SOTY, & Female Pop Vocal nods. She shouldn't submit this to R&B Female because, at this point, she's already the frontrunner to win that category for "Like You'll Never See Me Again."
Since I didn't see it posted, I take it that none of you are aware that American Idol winner Jordin Sparks will be joining Alicia on this tour.
Originally posted by C. Lawton: Mr Talented, you think "Wreckless Love" will get SOTY before "Like You'll Never See Me Again"?
I do.
While I feel that "Like You'll Never See Me Again" is lyrically superior, I think that "Wreckless Love" will probably get an SOTY nomination before "Like You'll Never..." because it will likely become a much bigger hit. Besides, "Like You'll Never..." will probably win Best R&B Song anyway.
I can see it being like 2005 for her all over again. She got nominated for SOTY for "If I Ain't Got You," but received Best R&B Song for "You Don't Know My Name."
In order for "Like You'll Never See Me Again" to get into SOTY, I think it would have to be a MAJOR crossover smash because of the type of artist Alicia is. She isn't like Corinne Bailey Rae, who gets SOTY nominations for songs that don't even chart within the top 50; that sort of thing is expected from her. But for Alicia to get major GF love, she has to have hits. If she ever stops having hits, I still think she'll get a lot of love, but it'll just be within the R&B field.
She's never been nominated in the general categories for a non-hit. And for every song she's had nominated in the GF, she's had a top 5 pop hit earn the nomination. "Like You'll Never..." still hasn't made it into the top 10.
"Wreckless Love" seems more poised for crossover success and appeal than "Like You'll Never..." ever was. And if voters have to choose between the two, I think they'd go for the bigger hit, and I'd be willing to bet my money that "Wreckless Love" becomes a much bigger hit.
Also, since I didn't see this posted either, Alicia Keys will be one of this year's honorees at the 1st Annual BET Honors, airing Friday, February 22nd @ 8pm on BET.
