I listened to the album a few times on her myspace today. I am pretty impressed. There is only one song I dislike, "Self Inflicted", but there is a chance it could grow on me. In my opinion Katy definately has a chance of avoiding one-hit wonder status. "Waking Up in Vegas" and "Hot 'N Cold" are really catchy with "Thinking of You" being a fantastic vocal performance. I think she can reach radio again with any of those three easy. Especially if she is riding off the success of "I Kissed A Girl".

It does have a very cool sound, I hadn't even paid attention to the words until this afternoon to be honest ha ha...I guess Radio 1 will play the hell out of it, do you listen to the Chris Moyles show??
yes, my bf and me usually listen to it together but sometimes i wish i could strangle him for being so rude. i think the Katy song will be so huge she'll endup a one-hit wonder
Katy was on The Young And The Restless today. They played "I Kissed A Girl" during Katy's photoshoot for that new magazine company in the show. Good promo for her.
I had to go to 3 different stores trying to find this CD.
Wal-Mart and Target didn't have it but I finally found it at FYE.
Anyone else have this problem?

Do you have any links to reviews?
I've heard nothing but good things about Katy Perry.

I don't agree with any of them to be honest. I wonder if they heard the same album.

The album is okay. It's really not that good lol. Some of the hooks are pretty catchy and a few of the beats get you worked up a little, but there really isn't a lot of substance overall. I wouldn't bash the album as far as some critics are bashing it (I'd give it a C+/B- grade). I'm a huge fan of "I Kissed A Girl" though.

OMG, Mr.F4J, you are too too too kind ! I bought this album yesterday and listened to it when I got home, and I must say this album suuuuucks (yes, with the u's). I personally don't like these songs because they're mindless pop, but the problem is I always listen to mindless pop. So what does that say ? This is less than mindless pop, it's kind of like a teenager wanting attention. I mean, for God sake's the chick's parents are preachers ! Anyways, F4J, you're like my new idol for being this nice about the album, but it is a matter of personal opinion, so to each his own. I would give this album a C-/D+.
