I wonder if this song would be the number one song in America if a guy sang a song called "I Kissed a Guy?"
Somehow I seriously doubt it.
This song is catchy but it's forgettable and maybe to someone in the hills of Butcher Hollow, Kentucky it's a shocking song but to the rest of the world it shouldn't be. Not in 2008.

Yes you're right. But women don't usually sing about how they kissed a girl for the first time and liked it.
It's kind of refreshing in a way.

i'm seriously waiting for someone to sing a guy version of this song. kinda like how neyo' s version of irreplacable. i think itd be amazing, although wouldnt be as popular.
As much as it saddens me to say it, I have grown a little tired of the song. It's starting to get overplayed, but I knew this would happen. Great songs always get WAY overplayed until the point where most people that liked it to begin with can't stand it. I'm ready for the second single. Come on Hot 'N Cold!
This song has a high burnout rate. I'm also tired of it and pretty much annoyed. Some songs can get played for the longest time before you get very sickened by it, this song has a shorter timespan before that induced feeling kicks in. So yeah, I agree with you xtina.

Well, after I got used to the song, I have been waiting for "I Kissed a Guy" and I immediately thought of Fall Out Boy doing, or some other punk rock band.
As for the album, I love it. 'I Kissed a Girl' regardless of subject matter has an amazing beat and vocal performance.
Other great songs on the album are: One of the Boys (which I already picture to music video for), Waking Up in Vegas (funny song!), Ur So Gay (the end is the funniest thing I've ever heard in a song) and my personal favorite of the album...
...Hot N Cold!!! This should be her next single (besides One of the Boys). It has got that 80s retro beat to it and the vocals are pretty good on it, but I think its gonna have the same thing going for it that I Kissed a Girl did, the beat, because I think I may even like this beat better. Also, the words are pretty funny (You PMS like a b***h).
Overall, its a good album and I can't wait to hear more!
