Laura Linney, but not Ben Daniels?

I saw "Les Liasons Dangereuse" on Broadway, and Ben Brantley's review is totally on point.

Ben Daniels is fantastic, Laura Linney is miscast.

The other suprise absences are Kate Fleetwood of Macbeth and Daniel Sullivan for directing The Homecoming. I'm also surprised that people seem to think that both Rufus Sewell and Brian Cox are getting nominated -- there are too many good performances this year for that to be likely.
