Chenoweth will come back to Broadway; it's her element.

But not in this role. That would definitely be a certified case of fatal mis-casting, as talented as she is.

This is a wonderful show. My university put it on. I hope this is a good production.

The late and extremely lamented Natasha Richardson would have been 46 years old this year, which is a far more appropriate age for Desiree than mid-30s, which is far too young. Christine Ebersole looks amazing and certainly can pull off playing a woman in her mid-40s. Glynis Johns was 50 when she played the part in the original production and she was hardly too old for it. Ebersole also has awe-inspiring chops as both actress as singer, and has the right personality for this part, so I certainly hope the producers will consider her for it, if she in fact is interested.

Both Kristin Chenoweth and, unfortunately, Victor Garber are contracted to the Fox series Glee.
