Wow. Not that I was that invested in the play's chances, but no "Equus" is a shocker. Especially when I thought Radcliffe's nudity was a sure nomination bid for him.

I think I was shocked because I totally misread the audience reaction to the play and performances. I thought for certain that the snob factor was going to play in favor of this out-of-date revival, but it looks like the Tonys had some sense. On the other hand, is there REALLY a musical revival that can possibly beat "Hair" at this point? Sorry, "West Side Story" lovers, I'm not buying what they're selling this time around.
