Not Broadway related, but having the "Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends" number Rick-rolled was too funny (even if it is a sign that the prank is now probably passe). And Rick Astley was even there to sing it. That's what ya call a good sport.

Well, so much for Broadway being heavily repped during the parade this year. Not counting whatever I missed during the first 45 minutes, there was just two numbers, plus cameos from Idina Menzel and Kristen Chenoweth. Ah, well.
Kind of fun having the "Keith Haring's Heart" balloon nearly take out Al, Meredith and Matt on their NBC platform, though. Too bad it happened off-camera...

There were three Broadway numbers in the first 40 minutes -- In the Heights with the title number, White Christmas with a "holiday medley," and South Pacific with "There Is Nothing Like a Dame." White Christmas came off the best of the three, IMO, although they were all decent. Little Mermaid was the worst of the numbers this year. Usually most of the Broadway numbers are crammed into the first 45 minutes -- they fill up the time before the beginning of the parade makes its way down to where Matt/Meredith/Al are.
