Yes, to KFed and Britney.

It looks like you mentioned most of the ones that I thought of right off the top of my head.

Mmm, there's also,
-Pamela Anderson and that Rick Solomon (Oh, Pammy, I love you because you're always you, but maybe it's time to stop getting married.)
-Maybe you should thrown in Heather Locklear and Richie Sambora since they're divorce got somewhat nasty because of one of the couple's divorce that Tom mentioned.
-Travis Barker and Shanna Moakler (At least, I think and hope of course they're finally divorced.)
-Jennifer Esposito and Bradley Cooper (I didn't even know they were married until they filed for divorce. Of course they were only married a whopping four months, but she still wanted financial support?!?)
-Gary Coleman and Whomever (They're both really nobodies, and it's not like it was real to begin with; I'm just throwing it out there though.)
-Star Jones and Al Reynolds (It hasn't got nasty yet, but I can't wait until what we already know about Al is confirmed if it gets nasty.)
-Anne Heche and Coleman Laffoon (Sorry Anne, I still like you even after everything, but maybe you shouldn't have given your ex so much ammo.)
-Melissa Etheridge and Julie Cypher (I don't know if this counts, but I think it should. I was so surprised that they parted ways, and that it wasn't very amicable.)

It's just a matter of time:
-Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin (I could not care less about their private lives, and both of them thinking that the media just won't stop hounding them. It's not like they're Brangelina, although she probably cries everyday that she's not getting that kind of attention anymore. They just seem so full of themselves that it does seem somewhat like a match made in heaven, but I'm still calling it since they keep doing that "everything fine" interviews which means divorce is probably happening soon.

-Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon (I imagine everyone in America called these two in their divorce pool as soon as it was confirmed that the stories were true.)

-Roger Clemens and Wife (I think she's stood by her man long enough.)

See, I think they're one of the best couples in the entertainment because they try to keep it low and not the star whores as what other couples seem to be. I don't expect the likes of Chris Martin to say anything more than "Everything's fine" because it's what he really is like. I don't see his personality as someone who opens up a lot.

Now this one I'm pretty sure won't last. Come on? It's one of the funniest things that happened this year. Sorry Mariah, I love you and all but this is plain crap.

To his first wife or to Tracey Edmonds because the latter never officially got married although they're split was pretty nasty. I don't really remember his first marriage being messy since the Scary Spice, then Tracey Edmonds nastiness seems to have trumped that. I just remember being surprised that they were divorcing at all because of the whole transvestite thing, I figured that she was a beard for the long haul.

Also, I just read that Shania Twain and Mutt Lange are divorcing. When there's that much money involved plus kids, I think it could get nasty. I hope not though because I like both of them, and in fact hope that they can work it out.

Plus, Jodie Foster and her partner have apparently split up after 14 years together. This saddens me too because of the kids involved and because that couple seemed so low-key that I'm surprised that there was any trouble there. Hopefully, that split won't get messy either.

This is probably surprising to no one. Who knows if it was ever really real either, but given Usher's break-up with Chilli, I expect this one to be nasty too.

From YBF,
quote:
Well what do we have here? Extremely reliable sources close to Mr. Raymond himself have confirmed to TheYBF.com that Usher has indeed filed for separation from his wife of only 9 months Tameka Raymond. I’m told he actually filed three weeks ago. And Usher is torn on whether he will be making an official announcement or not as he wants to save face and just let it “leak”. How convenient that his album releases in exactly 6 days, his second video hit the net today, and his album leaked yesterday. We’ve been here before with the pre-album release publicity stunts (remember the Chilli breakup right before Confessions?). So I’m really not surprised.

But it is interesting that Mrs. Raymond was just on set with Usher for his MTV snippet tapings on Sunday. At the very beginning of their relationship almost a year ago, sources were screaming left and right that this whole relationship was a sham and Tameka was strictly a pawn. And their relationship was all for publicity for his soon to be released album. And clearly this may not have been as far fetched as people thought.

At this time, it’s unclear as to what reason–if any–Ursh is going to give for their separation. But I have two guesses…both of which fit the classic Usher-pre-album-release-publicity stunts he has pulled before with previous album releases. Either the beef between the Mrs. and Mama Ursh is too much for Usher to handle, or he found out baby Usher V is not his. Regardless, Urshmeka is chillin’ on Splitsville Lane right now and time will only tell how this is all about to play out.

Also, I call Jessica Alba and Cash Warren. It's never a good sign when a couple has been dating for a long time only to get married when the woman gets pregnant.

Back in the day, there was no divorce on the horizon that was bigger, nastier, trashier, or more filled with toupees and wigs than the divorce of Burt and Loni.

And don't forget Eddie Fisher leaving Debbie Reynolds for Elizabeth Taylor.

And I'm not sure how bad the divorce was, but I know that the fall out of Ingrid Bergman leaving Petter Lindstrom was pretty bad for her for a long time.

Ellen Barkin and Ron Perelman had a very acrimonious divorce, and Halle Berry and Eric Benet did not end well either.

Roseanne and Tom Arnold also had a very bitter divorce, and so did Janet Leigh and Tony Curtis, if memory serves.

Steven Spielberg, James Cameron, Harrison Ford and Michael Douglas paid royally to divorce Amy Irving, Linda Hamilton, Melissa Mathison, and Diandra Douglas, respectively, with Spielberg's divorce being the nastiest.

Coley Lafoon and Anne Heche are also not splitting well, with Heche now broke due to her divorce.

And, while they were never married, has there ever been a nastier split than Mia Farrow and Woody Allen?

While when he died, she turned out to support him, Cher and Sonny Bono's divorce was not smooth, nor was the divorce of Lucille Ball and Desi Arnez.

Madonna and Sean Penn also had a tumultuous relationship and a worse divorce.

Dyan Cannon and Cary Grant also had a bad divorce.

And for the truly bizarre -- there is Michael Jackson and Debbie Rowe.

A more recent one would be Nicolas Cage and Lisa Marie Presley.

Yes, they WERE married...however briefly.

Did they have a bad split? To me his split to Patricia Arqutte felt nastier because neither person had anything good to say about the other, but the one to Lisa Marie Presley felt almost as fake as the her's to Michael Jackson. I think he only married her because of being a big Elvis collector and that's like the ultimate thing for his collection, and she married him for the fame and to try to get him into Scientology, imo. I'm guessing that their relationships right now aren't going to be forever either, and I could see both of those splits becoming nasty because there will be kids involved.

Anyhow, I just bumped this up because Bill Murray's wife is divorcing him, and it sounds nasty already.

quote:

Academy Award-nominated actor and comedian Bill Murray, who makes regular public appearances in the Lowcountry as a co-owner of the Charleston RiverDogs baseball team, is accused of drug addiction, abandonment, adultery and physically abusing his wife of more than 10 years, according to a recent court filing in Charleston County.

Jennifer Butler Murray cites the allegations as grounds for divorce, according to the complaint filed May 12 in family court. Records in the case were sealed Friday by a court order.

The Murrays married in 1997 and have four children, all minors.

Jennifer Murray is represented by Charleston attorney Robert Rosen, who declined to comment on the case Wednesday and said his client also would not comment on the filing.

Court records do not list an attorney for Bill Murray, who is listed in the complaint as "William Murray" and famously does not have a publicist or agent. A telephone message left for Murray at the RiverDogs office Wednesday was not returned.

Jennifer Murray also seeks a restraining order barring Bill Murray from her Sullivan's Island home and asks the court to determine if the couple's premarital agreement is valid and enforceable.

The Murrays signed the agreement before their marriage on July 4, 1997. It stipulates that if either spouse files for divorce, both parties retain all of their separate property, waive any right to alimony or support and maintain responsibilities for their children.

If the marriage is dissolved and the 23-page premarital agreement is made a part of the order, Bill Murray agrees to pay Jennifer Murray $7 million, according to a copy of the agreement accompanying the complaint.

According to the complaint, Jennifer Murray moved into a Sullivan's Island home in 2006 with the couple's four children due to her husband's "adultery, addiction to marijuana and alcohol, abusive behavior, physical abuse, sexual addictions and frequent abandonment."

Jennifer Murray purchased the Sullivan's Island beach house in 2006 for $3.65 million, according to county property records.

It was at the Sullivan's Island home, according to the complaint, that Murray allegedly abused his wife in November 2007. The six-page court filing says Murray "hit his wife in the face and then told her she was 'lucky he didn't kill her.' "

The complaint alleges that Murray physically abused his wife on more than one occasion during the marriage.

Bill Murray, a former "Saturday Night Live" cast member, has starred in films such as "Ghostbusters," "Caddyshack," "Meatballs," "Stripes" and "Groundhog Day." He was awarded a Golden Globe for Best Actor and was nominated for an Academy Award for his performance in "Lost in Translation."

Bill Murray's title with the RiverDogs is Director of Fun. He can be seen at the team's home field on any given night, according to the team Web site.

Murray also is a co-owner of Goldklang Group, a sports entertainment firm that represents the marketing and promotion rights for the RiverDogs and several other baseball teams.

I like Murray as an actor and comic, but sadly I don't find these allegations too hard to believe right now. Of course, that maybe what she is counting on, so she could have made the worst of the claims up. Who knows? I just hope he does get help because I do think she's telling the truth about him suffering from an addiction problem since he got in trouble earlier this year I believe for a DUI.
