Well here is definitely, an 'unpopular' opinion: (thanks Isky for starting this thread)

I am UPSET that tomk has been banned again. He hasnt done ANYTHING to warrant being banned this time, save that some dont 'like' him. He has been called, among other things, racist, idiot, moron, and a plethora of other names; but hey, that's seems to be ok. We can all threaten to 'quit the site' if so and so is allowed to remain; sorry to see anyone leave, but really.
I dont care if he 'brings it onto himself' or not. But tomk, is a favorite target and easy to 'gang up' against.
It isnt just about whom we include, but whom we exclude, which says a lot about us.
So you dont like someone. Block their posts then.
Really. I dont 'like' everyone who posts here; and I know lots of people arent exactly enamoured with me either. So??? Were there any threats of violence or stalking behaviours demonstrated re tomk? NO. He is a guy who loves movies; isnt tactful and has strong opinions.

I share babypook's unpopular opinion here. I'm wondering if tomk did something in a personal conversation with another member, because nothing I've seen posted by him in the regular forums struck me as being inappropriate.

That makes us three then. I wonder why tomk has been banned here. Sure, he bitches every now and then, but as a member of Goldderby, he still does his shares of posts which are related to his passion for movies.

Recently, I don't think any post of him merits a banning from this site. There are arguments which he was invovled in but who does not have?

If it's all about bit-ching then people like me would have been kicked off from this site a long time ago.

As someone who was been recently warned about being disrespectful to other derbyites I know why tomk was banned. He is not respectful to others. You can be passionate about movies all you want but the fact remains if you can not conduct yourself like an adult you should be banned.

Call it a crime, call it wrong, call it whatever fits, at the end of the day everyone should treat others respectfully and if you can not do so you should not be allowed to participate.

And i do not like when people see black or white in their opinions. I am shocked when people doesnt open themselves to new cultural things... or give a chance other people like it. I have the feeling than some posters here only like one sort of type of music and a set of actors which whom they share the colour of their skin.

I do hate when people of the states consider themselves the only americans. Sorry dudes, but you are part of a whole... of course you are americans, no doubt, but they are also canadians, jamaicans, chilians and so on... Though she overstayed, I was happy that Jasmine Trias stayed til the Top 3 at American Idol.

Carrie Underwood is quite overrated in Goldderby the same way Kelly Clarkson is.

I think the Ellen show is better than Oprah.

Here are a few of mine:

1. Kelly Clarkson IS NOT the best "American Idol" contestant. Tamyra Gray, Carrie Underwood, Fantasia, Melinda Doolittle, and Jennifer Hudson are more talented singers/vocalists.

2. Kanye West is one of hip-hop's best artists (as of now).

3. Teri Hatcher is a fantastic actress and should've won the Emmy that co-star Felicity Huffman won in 2005.

4. "The Office" is unfunny and easily one of the worst shows currently on TV.

5. Madonna IS NOT one of the best recording artists to ever walk this planet.

6. Jay-Z and Beyoncé's marriage will last.

7. Crash deserved to win Best Picture.

8. Toni Braxton's career IS NOT over.

9. Jennifer Hudson deserved her Oscar.

10. Amy Winehouse did not deserve all 5 of her Grammys.

Kanye West is everything but talented. fortunatelly, we will not seen anything of him soon.

Here are two more:

1. Tina Fey shouldn't have been a Lead Actress Emmy nominee last year and she shouldn't have won the Golden Globe or the SAG.

2. Katherine Heigl needs to return her Emmy. It wasn't deserved.

I think "30 Rock," "Ugly Betty," and "Grey's Anatomy" are among the stupidest shows I have ever seen.
