1) I am not understanding this Tina Fey fascination whatsoever. She is not deserving of all of these award wins. I sure as hell hope that she doesn't win the Emmy this year. Sure she's got the buzz, but just give her a nomination. She is not Emmy worthy.
2) America Ferrera is not deserving of an Emmy nomination this year. There are many other actresses who have done better work than she has.
3) Katherine Heigl's Emmy win goes down as one of the worst wins in Emmy history for me. I wonder what the other nominees in that category were thinking? I don't think that win will ever sit right with me. Ever. Ever. Ms. Heigl has also become very obnoxious.
4) I am still not understanding Felicity Huffman's Emmy win from 2005. I just don't think her tape or even the scenes in her co-star's tapes made her worthy. FH is really great in her role though. Just not my choice that year.
5) Amy Winehouse is overrated as hell and didn't deserve all those Grammy wins. I hope she does actually go to rehab and get cleaned up.
6) Madonna is not as great as so many claim that she is.
7) Jay-Z and Beyonce seem in it for the long haul and it will last. It doesn't seem like some hastily put together attention-seeking romance.

Sorry Mr. Talented. It seems like I totally ripped off your list.
By the way, where is Biff?

I think the following singers are not as good as the media makes out:
Leona Lewis Amy Winehouse Corinne Bailey Rae John Legend
I think The Departed was okay but lesser Scorsese and nowhere near deserving of the Best Picture Oscar.
I think a large number of black voters are only interested in the Presidential race because a black man is in the running. When I hear someone say, be it in a store, or on the radio, "I'm new to the (voting) process," that says to me that they're black and only voting for skin color, not his policies.

I think that a certain poster in the Grammy forums only like African-American singers because they are African-American instead of really caring about their actual talent (i.e. Fantasia vs. Kelly Clarkson, Amy Winehouse vs. Ledisi, Beyonce vs. Britney Spears.)

Um...no. When have we ever compared Beyonce to Britney in the Grammy forum? And that has nothing to do with race. It's just common sense. Britney isn't more talented, and most would agree with that.
Also, many posters in that forum probably haven't even listened to both Ledisi & Amy Winehouse. I have and I can say which one I prefer. And of those 6 names you mentioned, I actually like them all, with the exception of Britney. The woman just isn't talented.
I also prefer Carrie Underwood to Kelly Clarkson. Both are white and I've made no bones about that in the forums.
I think that you just enjoy starting stuff. Just picking out what you want to pick out.

OK. Whatever floats your boat, I guess. Have you noticed the most discussion is centered around female R&B singers in the Grammy forum? That has nothing to do with me, and most of those women (if not all) are black.
I'm not biased or racist either. I make it a point to support my opinions with WHY I believe them to be that way. And race, as you suggest, never plays a factor.
I'm done. I can't seem to go anywhere on this forum without someone trying to ignite an argument with me.

That's good because the only reason you're done is because you have nothing to combat my proof. Now I'm done.

Here's a very true opinion: I'm never done.
And if you want me to combat my proof, all you have to do is carefully (being the operative word) read my posts in the Grammy forum. I've been posting here a lot longer than you, so you have very little ammo to combat with. You've been here less than 6 months.

Wow. The old "read my posts carefully" trick. I've been here long enough to know that one.

I don't see what's so great about Cheryl Hines that constantly warrants her an Emmy nomination every year. I think the show is funny, but she's nothing special.
