Kathy G. being funny isn't an opinion, it's a fact.
But seriously...you don't find her funny? I can't even wrap my head around that.
I'll take Adele Givens, Monique, or even Sarah Silverman before KG. She is not even close to being amusing; but I'll give her props on knowing and targeting those who find her funny.

--I can't stand Grey's Anatomy. I've given it more than one chance, and I just don't get it.
--Ditto the above statement, this time regarding American Idol.
--I think that if Barack Obama becomes the President, he will flop big time, and will be summarily defeated by whoever his Republican opponent will be in 2012.
--Johnny Depp is overrated. I'm not saying he isn't very talented, but I don't find him to be as great as many.
--The phrase "Git-R-Done" wasn't funny the first time I heard it, and it hasn't been the funny the following 10 million times.
--Call me crazy, but I liked Jersey Girl with Ben Affleck. I'm not saying it was a Best-Picture contender, but I don't think it deserved the beating everyone gave it.

I totally agree, and wanted to add that this may or may not be an unpopular opinion here. I also hope this doesn't get me banned, but I really do wish that the moderators did more. It's not that I mind when a topic goes off topic, as I've wrote before in threads here, but when it becomes a debate between two posters, most of the time, or two warring factions, sometimes, I just think it keeps other posters away. I think this may also keep people who visit Gold Derby and may have thought about joining and posting from doing so.
I don't want a totalitarian board like many people say about TWoP, but I guess a reasonable in between TWoP and sometimes what feels like total chaos. Like in the Oscar thread, I don't want every thread to turn into a ___ hates ____, so he/she bashes it in every thread. Or in the Grammy thread, I don't want every thread to be a Beyonce vs. Christina vs. Mariah vs. Kelly vs. Carrie vs. ____ vs. ____ vs. _____ battle royale which seems happens more often than not. I get that people have favorites, and I'm certainly not immune to getting worked up over a favorite (Samantha Morton, Kate Winslet). I just wish that more threads rose above the whole mentality of "I love ___ or hate ___, but you don't but I'm the one that is right."
I know there is a report function, but I hate being a snitch. Although, there have been a couple of times where I think the animosity has gotten so bad between two posters or factions that I have resorted to reporting a problem. To my knowledge, it's never worked. About the only time that I saw a heated topic get locked was the Marion Cotillard backlash thread, but I actually found that one to be somewhat mild for the most part compared to a lot of the other battles going on.

In Mr. Talented's defense, I don't think you're correct. I've read his arguments for him liking and disliking most of these women. I don't think race has anything to do with it.

Funny thing, I never mentioned Mr. Talented lol. But yeah, you guys were right, I was talking about him. I think that he will forever be one of the resident racists here at GD. Maybe I'm wrong but I just think that his posts have racial undertones behind it. Maybe you dont notice it but I definitely do.

I don't understand the hype around "The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill." I have TRIED to get it, but don't. I really only like two tracks on the entire ablum: Ex-Factor and Doo Wop. I don't think it is one of the best female solo albums of all time, and actually I would have preferred Madonna winning AOTY that year for "Ray Of Light," which is a much better, more artistic, and original album, in my opinion.

The man listens to country. He has a lot of non-black musical preferences that isn't advertised in the Grammys forums because they're never a topic of interest FOR ANYONE, not just him. I can see why he would pick Fantasia of Kelly (I would too), I can see why he would pick Ledisi over Amy Winehouse (many people think she's overrated, I agree to a certain extent; plus Ledisi is actually really good), and Beyonce is Beyonce and he's like Beyonce's #1 fan, so there is no surprise there (he wouldn't be the first person to dislike Britney and her music). All this is a pretty loose case for accusing someone of being a racist.

I don't know if he listens to country, neither do you. I know that his posts have racial undertones and I notice it in almost every loooooooooooong post he does. It's not just me who believes that, it's other posters I've conversed with who've said that. Kudos to you for defending him though .

Actually, Nasdaq, I do listen to country music, and Fighting4Justice knows that because we've discussed the genre within the forums before. BTW, who are you to tell someone else what they do and don't know? You think you know more than you really do.
And thank you for seeing this thing clearly, Fighting4Justice. I have no reason to be racist, and considering what MOST discussion in the forums is about, we're limited to discussing very little. After all, most other stuff that people like (rock, gospel, country, alternative, hip-hop, etc.) gets little to no attention within the Grammy forums. It's usually, for the most part, pop and R&B. It gets redundant at times, but there's nothing that I can do personally to change the flow of discussion.
Also, I must add that you're a very sad person if you'd really take your time out to discuss me with other posters. Quite frankly, what they think about my views doesn't bother me. If you don't like them or if others don't, then that's not my problem.
What I don't understand is how I can simply choose to disagree with what I don't agree with, but people like you have to map out a big conspiracy racist theory about it. It's not that serious. I guess disagreeing with the majority earns you backlash. And backlash, I like.

And I also know a lot of the posters you converse with. Express your opinions, but don't put them in an uncomfortable position by calling out that others you converse with agree.

Sure, it's not that serious, Mr. Talented. But it's an unpopular belief and opinion of you. I also have no care for backlash so there's something we agree on. I still think your posts have racial undertones. That's not gonna change so you AND F4J can stop posting right about now.
