Thanks F4J for your kind shout out for me! I simply love tennis, both as a former high school player and now avid fan. Yeah I saw Boomer closed out the original thread. It finally reached 500 posts after being started originally by Hingie nearly 3 years ago. It went on and on, LOL...
But thanks to people like me, Fighting4Justice,and a few other tennis gurus on this site, we have made it to a start of another new thread.
As for the opening day action at Wimbledon, business as usual for the maestro and Serena, although Serena took awhile to get it rolling in the first set of her win earlier today. But, she will be O.K. as we move farther along in the tourney. I'm confident about that for sure.

I was a regular in the former thread for about a 2 weeks til' I got into it with a certain poster and realized there was a lot self-centered-ness here. I choose to stay away from this thread.

Thomaz Bellucci, a brazilian player, also won today which is amazing!!
Tomorrow, my favorite Jelena Jankovic starts her journey, hopefully, to her first Grand Slam finals!

Well, I guess that was also on everybody's mind when Dinara Safina was playing Roland Garros.
I believe in Jelena Jankovic! :-)

I wouldn't mind seeing Federer win here. I mean, if you wanna be the best, you gotta beat the best, so I say let him win until someone takes it from him.
Even with his struggles, I think he is the greatest player to ever play the game.

I like Nadal, but he needs to prove himself first. If he does bury him, then so be it and good for him. I don't believe in getting tired of winning in sports. I love dynasties, and I believe in the top staying at the top until they are dethroned.

Well Federer hasn't been doing great in 08. So, I don't think he should win here. If he does then he deserves it. I think Nadal is ready to beat him here, if Nadal makes the Finals. Roger won't win forever.
Too many upsets on the mens side.
