Well I didn't catch any of it. Started when I was on my way out the door. She won 7-5 6-3 so looked like a slow start.

Monfils withdrew, shoulder injury.

Yea think he injured it in last week's tourney. I doubt he would have made it far anyway, he would have had Federer in the 3rd round LoL

Thanks F4J for your kind shout out for me! I simply love tennis, both as a former high school player and now avid fan. Yeah I saw Boomer closed out the original thread. It finally reached 500 posts after being started originally by Hingie nearly 3 years ago. It went on and on, LOL...

But thanks to people like me, Fighting4Justice,and a few other tennis gurus on this site, we have made it to a start of another new thread.

As for the opening day action at Wimbledon, business as usual for the maestro and Serena, although Serena took awhile to get it rolling in the first set of her win earlier today. But, she will be O.K. as we move farther along in the tourney. I'm confident about that for sure.

Everyone in Africa knows Swedish.

If people I don't even know look at me and want to f*ck me, it means I have a really good shot at being a model.

I was a regular in the former thread for about a 2 weeks til' I got into it with a certain poster and realized there was a lot self-centered-ness here. I choose to stay away from this thread.

Thomaz Bellucci, a brazilian player, also won today which is amazing!!

Tomorrow, my favorite Jelena Jankovic starts her journey, hopefully, to her first Grand Slam finals!

These match times are too early in the morning for me. I'm always gonna be sleeping or at work, which sucks.

Jankovic has little chance of making the finals here. LOL

Well, I guess that was also on everybody's mind when Dinara Safina was playing Roland Garros.

I believe in Jelena Jankovic! :-)

Just out of curiousity, how did you become such a huge fan of hers?

If she gets her head on str8 that will be a step in the right direction. Too bad her serve is weak and at Wimbledon that is the kiss of death.

Djokovic OUT! Can't say I'm not happy about that. I like Safin when his head's in the game.

Ivanovic pushed to the brink by Nathalie Dechy??? I mean props to Nathalie but seriously now.

Ivanovic is too lucky a netcord flipped over on a match point for Dechy. That side would have opened up nicely for Serena.

Oh well to Djokovic, he can kiss trying to be number 1 this yr goodbye. Now Federer is easily thru to the Finals again I'm sure, bore....

Safin losing the next round would not surprise me!

I wouldn't mind seeing Federer win here. I mean, if you wanna be the best, you gotta beat the best, so I say let him win until someone takes it from him.

Even with his struggles, I think he is the greatest player to ever play the game.

I'm tired of Federer. Hopefully Nadal will bury him if they meet in the Finals.

I like Nadal, but he needs to prove himself first. If he does bury him, then so be it and good for him. I don't believe in getting tired of winning in sports. I love dynasties, and I believe in the top staying at the top until they are dethroned.

Well Federer hasn't been doing great in 08. So, I don't think he should win here. If he does then he deserves it. I think Nadal is ready to beat him here, if Nadal makes the Finals. Roger won't win forever.

Too many upsets on the mens side.
