I think Laura Dern is a very underrated actress. I could definitely see her winning an Oscar someday. Her performance in We Don't Live Here Anymore was amazing.

Yeah with Kate out of the way, it’s for sure Anne vs. Meryl for Drama. I’m thinking Streep wins for the same reason I guess Winslet would win for The Reader instead. Their films have support from the HFPA. Hathaway could very well still take it and Streep could get Musical/Comedy.

Eileen Atkins for "Cranford (Masterpiece Theatre)."

More Finke (note: I don't agree with everything she writes; I liked John Adams)
Rumer Willis finally got her chance to be Miss Golden Globe after being chosen last year only to see the WGA strike deep-six the show. Every year, the selection is nepotism at its best... which is the whole point of it anyway.
Tom Wilkinson won BEST PERFORMANCE BY AN ACTOR IN A SUPPORTING ROLE IN A SERIES, MINI-SERIES OR MOTION PICTURE MADE FOR TELEVISION for John Adams, HBO's most boring mini-series ever.
Omigod, I feel like a little kid on Skittles. There are sooooooo many people there, I don't know what to do with myself.
