Someone does not know what smug means becasue SM is anything but. Maybe you should watch the film; your own admission makes your conclusion pointless.

I honestly think Baldwin is more of a bandwagon decision since there was no Globe ceremony last year.

Not saying Baldwin isn't great (he is), but post-"Rosemary's Baby" hasn't been as strong.

Not sure it has been mentioned in the thread, but confirmed that Sean Penn is not there.

For their eligibility cycle, it would be for the latter half of the second season and the first half of the third season.

This must be so boring Nikki Finke can't even be bothered to bring her A material anymore:

Camera just caught a very sweaty Jeff Zucker and an even sweatier Ben Silverman. Uh, why?

Seth Rogen makes dumb "I was drunk with Mickey Rourke" and "I was doing cocaine with Mickey Rourke" joke. Like that's original. He and Amy Adams gave BEST SCREENPLAY - MOTION PICTURE to Simon Beaufoy for Slumdog Millionaire. "There are some directors who shoot a screenwriters script, and there are some who make it fly," Beaufoy said. "I don't need to tell you he made it fly."

Amy Poehler and Patrick Dempsey gave BEST PERFORMANCE BY AN ACTOR IN A TELEVISION SERIES - COMEDY OR MUSICAL to 30 Rock's Alec Baldwin. Hey, NBC is hosting this shindig and had to win something. "I feel so old. I remember when I used to bring Rumer Willis a juicebox on the set of the movie," Baldwin tried to joke and failed. (The silence from the audience was deafening...) "When you do this you want to say, 'Thank you, Tina. Thank you, Tina. Thank you, Tina," Alec continued.

And just by showing up, Renee Zellweger provides the third cocaine joke of the evening.

I had lunch outdoors next to Renee a couple years ago. My companion knew her publicist, who was with her, and introduced me to him. A bit later, I asked, who was that with him? He laughed, said, Renee Zellweger. She dresses/does her makeup differently when she doesn't want to be noticed.

I had no idea - looked totally different.

I knew that the Comedy Actor on TV award would go to either Alec Baldwin or David Duchovny.

I'm glad they chose the one who can act and does not play himself.

IMO, Alec is a complete slimball as a person, but he can act when he chooses to.

------------

Did anyone see David D. trying to go for some Brad Paisley-style PR points by blowing a kiss to his daughter?

Not buying it at all. Nope
