I loved it! i was screaming "THOSE ARE ENVELOPE/GOLDDERBY POSTERS" (yes i still refer to it as Goldderby sometimes)... and than i though "OMGOD celebs actually DO READ our posts"! which makes me that much prouder to be a poster here...

I think a lot of us still refer to it as Gold Derby if not even more so than The Envelope

Yes, I think it's great that she finally won a Golden Globe, but unless the SAG's clear things up, I think she's going to end up like Sigourney Weaver and end up losing both awards as there's no clear favorite for them to award her in since the GG wins made things even more confusing. Had she just won for one for The Reader again, I think she would have been a lock, but now things are back to being up in the air as to where to award her because there's no way that someone would ever win two acting Oscars in one night not even Winslet.

I do too.

In a post today I started it "Hello Derbyites". It sounds better than "Envelop-ites". Envelopers isn't bad but it isn't good either.

Crazy night, but one of the best Globes shows they've put on with some very deserving winners. I'm happiest for Sally Hawkins, "Mad Men", "30 Rock", "Slumdog Millionaire", Anna Paquin, Tina Fey, Kate Winslet's acceptance speeches, Heath Ledger, Colin Farrell, and Danny Boyle. The surprises mostly came from the impromptu moments of the show, which is how it should be for a show like this. Ricky Gervais's sloshed intro to "Happy-Go-Lucky" was incredible (as was his shout-out to Kate Winslet's awesome episode of "Extras" and so prescient awards statement). Sally Hawkins's awkwardly endearing acceptance speech was wonderful. I can't express how thrilled I am for her, and hopefully she'll manage to breakthrough to the Oscars in lead actress. Kate's double wins were interesting. Poor Anne Hathaway, LoL. Lead actress is going to be a beast. Love that Bruce Springsteen won. I won't get to see "The Wrestler" until after the Oscar nominations, but Mickey Rourke's so badass. I didn't realize he looked quite like that now. That's made lead actor just as interesting as lead actress now.

Sacha Baron Cohen's jabs were funny, and I got a kick out of Emma Thompson tonight with her presenting and asking Sally Hawkins if she was alright. Tina Fey's pwing of her haters on here was one of the most amazingly awesome and bizarre acceptance speeches I've ever witnessed, and to think that she actually reads what we say on here is insane. You rock so hard, Tina. Congrats on your wins! The presentation for Heath was tough to watch, but I want him to win eveything including the Oscar now, b/c his performance was that stellar, and his competition this year doesn't match up with him. Surprised about "Vicky Cristina Barcelona" edging out a win over "Mamma Mia!" or "Happy-Go-Lucky." I knew Colin Farrell would win out over his competition. Nice and rambly acceptance speech from him. It's too bad for the "Benjamin Button" shut-out, since I at least thought they'd go for David Fincher and/or Brad Pitt. This looks like "Slumdog Millionaire" will run this straight through to the best picture Oscar. Then the f-bombs, the middle finger, the drunken acceptance speeches, the pwning, the upsets! Whew, what a night, HFPA!

Congratulations, Primetime Emmy Winners!

I think voters would rather her win in lead, as would she I presume, as she is usually a lead actress, and is so even in "The Reader", and "Revolutionary Road" is directed by her husband. I think the heat will grown on her performance in that film and once the film expands it will do much better than "The Reader" in terms of box-office. Leo being in the movie helps with that.

I am just so sick of this Kate Winslet situation. I wish she just wins one or both and the fans will shut up forever.

Or maybe they'll be inspired to vote for her in both categories as well.
People say it's impossible...fact is...it's not. And what better candidate do they have than Winslet to finally award her. And award her twice.
It's definitely a possibility.

RR is absolutely horrible movie and not the best of her work. Undeserving win it will be, but whatever keeps the WINSLET FREAKS silent.

Yes I am hating and I am proud. I also like Winslet but you guys manage any love for her turn into hate and make this season unbearable.

The woman has 5 Oscar losses. If she were to get nominated for both films and lose she would become the biggest female Oscar loser. She has two great performances out there right now. Fans would love to see her win for some great work. Get over it!
