Yes, I could definitely see that this year especially in the Dramatic categories where things haven't really been narrowed down. We know that Sean, Mickey, and probably Clint are locks, but after that it could be any combination of Leonardo, Frank, Richard, Brad, and Will depending on the Globes and SAG nominations. If the Globes decide to nominate six people though instead of just five, it's going to make things as clear as mud if say three veterans get in (Clint, Frank, Richard) and then say Sean, Mickey, and Leonardo, because then I'm still at the same place wondering if Frank or Richard has the better shot at being nominated for the Oscar presuming they both can't get in. Forget about the respective women's category if they go the easy sixth way route too because that's definitely not going to help solve anything.
And so the waiting game begins. I hate not having direct access to watching the announcement of the nominees... thank goodness CNN carries the Oscar announcement.
Theyre probably doing the same thing they did last year... only broadcast the second half of the nominations E!'s schedule says the nomination announcement starts at 8:30
On my TV, it says E! has the Daily 10 scheduled to air at 8:30. Yikes! I hope you're right!
For Your Grammy Consideration: Kanye West for "Heartless" and 808's & Heartbreak Adele for "Hometown Glory" Taylor Swift for "You Belong With Me" & Fearless Maxwell for "Pretty Wings" & BLACKsummer'snight Kings of Leon for "Use Somebody" The Cast of GLEE for "Don't Stop Believin' " Mariah Carey for "Obsessed"
Does anyone think the HFPA is going to surprise us???
